Interchange improvement work on Interstate 79 and Route 910 in Franklin Park Borough and Marshall Township in Allegheny County will begin, weather permitting

(Allegheny County, PA) PennDOT District 11 announced that today, weather permitting, interchange improvement work on Interstate 79 and Route 910 in Franklin Park Borough and Marshall Township in Allegheny County will begin. From 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. today through Friday, August 22ndthere will be construction equipment entering and exiting the roadways with intermittent shoulder restrictions occurring. Equipment will be mobilized into the work zone and staging area will be prepared as part of the Wexford Interchange Project by crews from Golden Triangle Construction Company even though most of this work will happen off-roadway. According to a release from PennDOT District 11, this work will take place at these locations:

  • In both directions of I-79 between approximately 1.5 miles north of the I-79/I-279 split to Mingo Road
  • I-79 interchange on- and off-ramps at Route 910/Wexford (Exit 73)
  • Route 910 between Nicholson Road Drive and Brandt School Road/VIP

On Monday, August 25th, it is announced that anticipated additional restrictions beginning that day. In advance of the work occurring, details will be provided.
