(Scott Township, PA) Two people got taken into custody following a SWAT incident that happened in Scott Township on Sunday. According to Allegheny County 911 officials, police were in the 600 block of Carothers Avenue around 9:45 a.m. A release from Scott Township Police confirms that the indication of 911 calls showed that an exchange of gunfire occurred because of an escalation of an argument there by the individuals that were at the scene, which were two men. According to police, one man exited the house shortly after their arrival and was taken into custody without incident and the second man came out peacefully after communication with police. The second man stayed inside, which made the SWAT units respond. Simple assault and terroristic threats were given to thirty-year-old Travis Coles and twenty-one-year-old Ean Strimlan, who are both in custody. It is believed that an apartment on Carothers Avenue was where the two men got barricaded and the investigation into this incident is ongoing. Terroristic threats were also the reason that Coles had an arrest warrant out of the City of Pittsburgh.
