(Ross Township, PA) According to an announcement on Thursday from Allegheny County Public Works, Jacks Run Road Bridge No. 3 is closed because of corroded steel in its only pier. The steel was found by inspectors and the Ross Township bridge will be closed for a time that is undetermined after it gets inspected. The reason the bridge got closed is because the corroded steel made it impossible for the weight that the bridge can hold to be determined by engineers.
