Aliquippa City Council approves several motions at their recent work session that takes places monthly

(Aliquippa, PA) The Aliquippa City Council approved several motions at their monthly work session Wednesday night. City Administrator Samuel L.Gill was approved to be the Pennsylvania Municipal League Liaison. Council also approved the Community Days Event at Jesse Bell Walker Park from noon to 8 p.m. on both Saturday, July 5th and Sunday, July 6th. It was also announced that Kingdom Week will be held from July 14th-18th sponsored by the Mt. Carmel Organizers at Ms. Redd’s Park in Aliquippa. That park will be a staging and logistics area. A Community Foam Party Event will also be held at Lefty Cepull Field in Aliquippa on July 11th from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. San Rocco’s Cultural Committee also requested at the session to have an event from August 8th-10th at St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church’s Center in Aliquippa from 4-10 p.m. Councilman Donald Walker also reminded residents that “no fireworks are permitted on any city street!” The next time that the Aliquippa City Council meets in regular session will be on Wednesday, July 2nd at 7 p.m.
