(Harrisburg, PA) According to a release from Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday’s office, scammers are sending emails and texts saying they are from the Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles. These messages have a link to pay every time, and Sunday recommends that you never copy or click those links. These scam texts and emails will also tell you about threats which include that your privileges for driving or your vehicle registration will be suspended. Other threats these messages say are that you will be prosecuted if you have an outstanding or unpaid traffic ticket or that the driver being addressed will be reported to the DMV violation database.
