Terry Francona hired to manage the Cincinnati Reds after stepping down from baseball a year ago

(Cincinnati, OH) Terry Francona has been hired by the Cincinnati Reds to be their manager after stepping down from baseball a year ago because of health reasons. Francona, who formerly managed the Philadelphia Phillies, Boston Red Sox, and Cleveland Guardians, is replacing David Bell, who was fired by the Reds last month. Francona, who turns 66 in April, played as an outfielder for Cincinnati Reds in 1987 and is both a two-time World Series winning manager and a three-time American League Manager of the Year.
