Ambridge Borough Council Focuses On Local Crime Statistics And Road Projects

Young blood Paving, Inc. was awarded the contract for Ambridge’s 2017 road program.  14 borough streets  will be repaved, according to Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giordano.  The cost of the project is $668,580.15. Crime has decreased by 12.12% between 2015-2016 , according to the a public safety committee Uniform Crime Reporting Statistics Police Chief James Mann credited the decrease   to council’s  investing in his department and the hiring of 3 full time officers  in 2015. Lorianne Burgess  represented the borough’s  Crime Watch Committee and told council  that they are seeking members.  She told the group meetings are held the second Tuesday  at 6 p.m. in the fire department training room.
