Western Beaver Rolls Past Beaver Falls 36-8

(Beaver Falls, Pa)

When the Beaver Falls Tigers hosted the Western Beaver Golden Beavers Friday night. Turnovers were the difference in an otherwise tight physical match up.

The first quarter started with stout defense by both teams. After a couple three and outs, it was Western Beavers Wyatt Sparbanie that found pay dirt and scored the games first points on a 69 yard run giving the Golden Beavers an 8-0 lead. That was the score at the end of one. Mirroring the first quarter, the second quarter was physical and low scoring as these two teams continued to fight hard. With the Tigers on the move it was the Golden Beavers Khai Hudson with an interception, taking it 94 yard the other way for the touchdown giving Western Beaver a 15-0 lead at the half.

The third quarter featured more Wyatt Sparbanie scoring on runs of 41 and 8 yards. The Golden Beavers kept Beaver Falls off the board again, sending the game into it’s final frame with Western Beaver on top 36-0. Beaver Falls finally found the end zone in the fourth quarter when Christian Dawkins pulled in a 7 yard touchdown reception. The Tigers converted the two point conversion making it  a 36-8 football game. Unfortunately for Beaver Falls there wasn’t much time left on the clock at that point and the game would end with that being the final score.

The Tigers will continue to search for their first win of the season when they host Mohawk next Friday at 7pm. Meanwhile the Golden Beavers will return home to host Union.
