“Teleforum” is a call in weekday morning talk show on WBVP and WMBA that airs between 9 and 10 A.M. It was originally the brainchild and named by Beaver County broadcasting pioneer, Chuck Wilson. Chuck Wilson worked for WBVP for over 25 years and has the distinction of speaking the first words ever broadcast on radio in Beaver County when he welcomed the audience aboard listening to WBVP at 6 P.M. on May 25, 1948.
“Teleforum” even drew national attention In 1981, When then President Ronald Reagan called in on the popular talk show to join Pennsylvania Congressman Gene Atkinson, who was an in studio guest with host at the time, Dave Felts.
The show has been a mainstay on WBVP, and now WMBA, as well , or many decades. Recently, the program has also begun to simulcast on the WBVP-WMBA Facebook page. “Teleforum” has been hosted by many great broadcasters through the years, in addition to Wilson and Felts, including Chris Shovlin, Tom Stein, John Nuzzo, Mike Romigh and current station Program Director, Frank Sparks. Current host Eddy Crow a long time Pittsburgh radio personality took over the reins from Sparks in June of 2020.
