William Bill Sanford, 85, the eldest son of the late Ned and Sarah Sanford, passed away peacefully on January 23rd, 2026.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Arlene, his brother, John Michael, his wife, Edie and his son, William K Sanford. He is survived by his brother, James, many nephews, and his grandchildren.

William was born in Beaver on April 6th, 1940 and he graduated from Beaver High School in 1959. He attended Community College and Penn State for a short time, but ultimately graduated from the American Broadcast and Electronic School in Pittsburgh,  in 1965.

He worked at Westinghouse Electric in Beaver for thirty-seven years. He also served as the President of the Beaver Area Boosters. He had many hobbies and loved his dog, Carmel.
