Phyllis Marie (Debo) Holman, 83, formerly of New Brighton, passed away on July 11th, 2025 at her residence in Palm Bay, Florida.
She was born in New Brighton on May 9th, 1942, a daughter of the late John W. and Evelyn Mae (Beitsch) Debo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Edward Henry Holman, a brother, John “Pete” (Mary Jane) Debo and brother-in-law, James Vukich. She is survived by her son, David (Cherina Emery) Holman, her grandchildren, Christopher (Ashley) Cross, Tyler Holman, and Tori Holman, her siblings, Janet (Robert) Kelvington and Kathryn Vukich, her special friends: Tom Ballard, Mike (Peggy) Linden, Liz Browning, Mac, Debbie, Bernice, Pat, and Diana; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was a 1960 graduate of New Brighton High School. In her younger years, she found joy making ceramics. She was an avid Steelers football fan throughout her life. In her later years, Phyllis enjoyed going to the gym. She absolutely adored her grandchildren. She was also known to love voicing her opinion. She enjoyed her yearly trips back and forth from Florida.
Friends will be received on Monday, July 21st from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. in the GABAUER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, Inc., 1133 Penn Avenue, New Brighton, who was in charge of her arrangements. A celebrant service will take place on Tuesday, July 22nd at 11 A.M. in that funeral home.
