Philip Daniel Ostrander, 72, of Freedom, formerly of Rochester, passed away on November 9th, 2024, after a 23-year battle with kidney disease.
He was born in Sewickley on January 21, 1952, the son of the late Margaret and Daniel Ostrander. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marylin; daughters, Tammy (Matt) Noll, of Rochester, and Tori (Robert) Goettman, Beaver; brothers, Harold (Kay) Ostrander, Mark (Sandy) Ostrander; brother-in-law, Garry (Patricia) Neely; sisters-in-law, Linda Ginther, and Patricia Freed, and his grandchildren: Brandon (Chelsea) Noll, Madison Goettman, Jordin (Gavin Szymanski) Noll, Robert Goettman Jr., Haley Goettman, and Brooke Goettman.
Philip retired from Horsehead Corporation, but also worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator in Mercer, Pennsylvania. Prior to his illness, he had a dump truck that he loved having and fought everyday to have again. Philip also enjoyed working on things around the house inside and out, and maintaining his vehicles, but most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Thursday, November 14th, in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, November 15th at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
