Melva J. Magness, 87, of Chippewa Township, passed away peacefully on February 25th, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital Pittsburgh.
She was born in Beaver Falls on June 13th, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Sara (Pickard-Zimmer) Pashuta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin H. Magness and a son, Kurt Magness. She is survived by her children, Lynn Granati and Brad Magness, a daughter-in-law, Jackie Magness, a grandson, Jules (Alyssa) Granati and two great-grandchildren, Giulio and Angelo, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Melva spent her life as a homemaker and was a former member of Christian Assembly Church in Ohioville and was most recently attending Life Family Church in New Brighton. She loved Bible studies with church family and friends as well as her monthly dinner and lunch dates with classmates. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished precious moments spent with her family.
Friends will be received on Sunday, March 1st from 1-5 P.M. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, who was in charge of her arrangements.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2nd at 11 A.M. at Life Family Church, 1810 Valley Avenue, New Brighton, with Pastor Sam Demarco officiating. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to services on Monday, March 2nd at 10 A.M.
