Marvin B. Sines, 78, of Freedom, passed away on April 23rd, 2025 in Heritage Valley Beaver. He was born in Alton, West Virginia on November 6th, 1946, a son of the late Berlin D. and Virginia Holt Sines. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth A. Sines, one step-son, Robert E. Svanda, his first wife, Gaylorrie Sines, four sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Romilda “Ronnie” (Rega) Sines, one daughter and son-in-law, Christina L. Sines and her husband Gary Hall, of Beaver Falls, two step-daughters, Hope L. and Dianna M. Svanda of Rochester, two step-sons, Brian D. Burholt of Allison Park, Pennsylvania, and Greggory D. Burtholt, of Baltimore, Maryland, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Marvin was a retired boilermaker with the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Union, Local 754. He was an Airforce Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Freedom FOE, SOI, Unionville American Legion Post 512 and Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Rochester. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA. Marvin’s wish was to be cremated, a memorial service will be announced at a later date. All arrangements are entrusted to William Murphy Funeral Home Inc., 349 Adams Street, Rochester.
