Beck, a sister, Virginia Schott, her stepsons, Craig Yoders and Clifford Yoders and her son-in-law, Charles Henderson. She is survived by her daughter, Ramona Henderson of Moon Township and her stepdaughter, Kathy Yoders, seven grandchildren: Jonathan McDonald (Brigitte), Chad Hanson, John McDonald, Dale McDonald, Kendria May, Clifford Yoders & Jaison Yoders; as well as five great grandchildren: Zane McDonald, Lexen McDonald, Norah Hanson, Scott McDonald & Collin McDonald.
Growing up during the depression, “Grandma GiGi” shared countless stories, not only about happy family memories, but also about the hardships, especially constantly having to move wherever her father could get work. Margaret remembered going to seventeen different schools throughout her childhood. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in McKees Rocks in 1941 where she had the lead in the class play. In her early years she loved to dance, especially dancing around the living room with her daughter when American Bandstand came on the TV. She was a great cook and at one point she raised chickens and delivered eggs to her local customers who called her “the egg lady.” Although she couldn’t read music she played the organ beautifully, often entertaining family and friends. In her later years, she was a voracious reader (mostly romance novels) and along with friends was a member of the Red Hat Society (although she had no patience for the hat because it messed up her hair). The family is most appreciative of the care and compassion from the staff at Bridgeville Rehabilitation and Care Center and Heartland Hospice over the past two years.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 22nd from 3 P.M. until the time of a Blessing Service at 7 P.M. in the Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Township, 1522 Coraopolis Heights Road, Moon Township, who was in cahrge of her arrangements. Private interment in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 100 Resurrection Road, Coraopolis, will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Marge’s memory to your favorite charity.
