Leon William “Bill” Kelly, 68, of Chippewa Township, passed away on July 15th, 2025 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh surrounded by family.
He was born in Beaver Falls on September 7th, 1956, a son of the late John (Jack) C. and Marianne (Faris) Kelly. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39.5 years, who he married on October 12, 1985, Nancy (Balzer) Kelly, his son, Ryan (Caitlin) Kelly, a granddaughter, Cecelia, his siblings, John C. Kelly Jr., Richard A. Kelly, and Margaret “ Peggy” Kelly, his nieces and nephews: Kaya, Kelly, John, Kate, Erin, Nick, and Cam; as well as his two canine companions Trixie and Nova.
Leon was a proud engineer and a graduate of West Virginia University. He later received an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and cheered on both the Mountaineers and Panthers. in his younger years, he loved fishing and cycling. After retiring, he found his real passion in birding. Above of all else, he was a dedicated grandfather, father, and husband. He was a member of St. Monica Church of Beaver Falls, part of St. Augustine parish. He had a great sense of humor and was quick with a joke, but would take his time with a story. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Friends will be received on Sunday July 20th from 1-4 P.M. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, Inc., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, who was in charge of his arrangements.
Departing prayers will be offered in the funeral home on Monday, July 21st at 9:20 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Monica Church, 116 Thorndale Drive, Beaver Falls. Father Kim Schreck will officiate.
