John Simecak, 80, of Bridgewater, passed away on March 30th, 2025.
He was born in Beaver on September 2, 1944, a son of the late Jacob and Caroline Jurich Simecak. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia L. Kovalesky Simecak and his son, Hubert J. Kovalesky, Jr. He is also preceded in death by Frank and Marion Justice and Frankie Justice. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Patricia L. Kovalesky, his son, Eugene N. Kovalesky, his daughter-in-law, Barb Kovalesky, his sisters, Anna Sipp and Kathie (Bruce) Wise, his brother, Nick (Patty) Simecak, his grandchildren: Tommy (Dena) Lipp, Curtis (Rebecca) Kovalesky, Hubert (Alisha) Kovalesky, Steven Sipe, Matthew Sipe and Erin Cole; as well as his great-grandchildren, Macie Lipp, Lincoln and Kelly Kovalesky, Curtis II and Andrew Kovalesky and a baby girl on the way.
John was a graduate of Beaver Area High School, going on to serve in the U. S. Army. He worked all his life, including a career as a crane man with B & W Steel and a security guard with Shasta Services. He also worked delivering newspapers and setting bowling pins. In his spare time, John was an avid bowler for many years. He also loved working on cars and especially enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
