John Leo Wickett, 65, of Moon Township, passed away on April 26th, 2025 in his home. He was born in St. Marys, Pennsylvania on January 3rd, 1960, a son of the late Clarence & Mary Jane (Breindel) Wickett. John was a 1977 graduate of Elk County Christian School.  He was currently employed as a technical analyst by PNC Bank.

John’s life was about service to others. He was incredibly hard-working and dedicated to meticulous order. He canned vegetables to give away, shared meals, and jumped in to assist with any task someone needed. Even as he battled cancer, John was quick to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors with any home or outdoor project including, but certainly not limited to, shoveling, tiling, gardening, building, and electrical work. John enjoyed camping, gardening, and cooking. A jack of all trades, John was a skilled craftsman. To know John was to enjoy his company and sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and his Vaughn family.

John is survived by his fiancée, Elaine Vaughn, and siblings, Jane Wickett, Joan Fabiano (Donald), James Wickett (Lucy). He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved dog, Moose.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday May 8th at St Marys Church in St. Marys, Pennsylvania with Fr. Tom Curry as celebrant. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the branch of Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
