James M. Myers (1945-2025)

James M. Meyers, 80, of Chippewa Township, formerly of Beaver, passed away on July 18th, 2025 in his residence. He was born in Sewickley on May 18th, 1945. He was raised by his foster parents, the late Fred E. and Ruth Dozer. In addition to his foster parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara I. (Lilley) Meyers, his step-grandson, Steven Egan, his step-daughter, Theresa M. Egan, his sister, Gladys I. Mills, his brother, Robert W. Mills and a step-brother and sister in law, Pete and Nancy Brunnner. He is survived by three daughters and two son in laws, Tina Renee Leroy, Mingo Junction of Ohio, Dawn Desiree and Joshua Hoit of Wellsburg, West Virginia, Angela McFarland and Robert Hamrick of Dumfries, Virginia, five step daughters and four step sons in law, Linda L. and Chris Loomis of Monaca, Jamie L. and David Pedaline of Rochester Township, Jeanine A. and Ted Kypreos of Rochester, Rhonda J. Warnick and her companion Bruce of Cranberry Township, Denise L. and Martin Bohinski of McDonald, Pennsylvania, one sister and brother in law, Gloria and Louis Ghem of Elyria, Ohio, one step sister in law, Laura Brunner of Midland, twenty grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren. James was a retired employee with the former Phoenix Glass of Monaca and Allied Security. He was Protestant by faith. He was also an avid Steelers fan who loved his coffee and cold beers at home. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his late wife Barb and his family. Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 23rd, from 3-7 P.M., with a service following at 7:15 P.M. in The William Murphy Funeral Home, Inc., 349 Adams Street, Rochester, who was in charge of his arrangements. Officiating will be Pastor Kevin Seiling. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, 1101 9th Street, Extension, Freedom.
