Georgia “Georgie” Sarris, 85, passed away on March 23rd, 2025. She was born on October 30th, 1939, a beloved daughter of the late Anestis and Irene Sarris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Georgiadis and her brother, George Sarris.
Georgia was the cherished fifth child in a loving family. She is survived by her
devoted sisters, Katherine Palazzi, Athena Bilotto and Andrea Passodelis.
Georgie’s memory will also be treasured by her seven nieces and nephews, as
well as her numerous great nieces and great nephews all of whom loved her.
She lived a full life from a young child at Polk State Center and until recently at
Ebensburg State Center. Georgie never let her intellectual disabilities stand in the
way of everyday living.
The Orthodox faith was the cornerstone of Georgie’s life, and people find comfort in
knowing that she was guided by God’s grace throughout her journey.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek
Orthodox Church, 2111 Davidson Street, Aliquippa from 11 A.M. until 12 noon on Friday, March 28th followed by a funeral service from 12 noon to 1 P.M. Private interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Georgie’s memory to the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home, Inc., 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa.
