Elizabeth A. “Betty” Shanahan, 89, of Industry, passed away on February 6th, 2025.
She was born in Midland on December 20th, 1935, a daughter of the late Louis A. Giovanelli Sr. and Ann (DiMaggio) Giovanelli. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Shanahan, her sisters, Louise Nicholson and Ellen “Rita” Kildea and her brother, Louis A. Giovanelli Jr.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Kim (Paul) Brickman, Karen (Tim) Weber, Kyle Nicholson, Kirk (Wendy) Nicholson, Thomas Kildea Jr., Kevin Kildea, Brian Kildea, Ellyn (Gary) Baillio and Sharon (Scott) Vetter, as well as numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Elizabeth and her husband Don were Restauranteurs and Owners of the Country Inn Restaurant in Industry for many years. She was also a faithful and active member of St. Blaise Catholic Church, part of St. Augustine Parish.

Friends will be received on Monday, February 10th from 4-7 p.m. in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home Inc., 629 Midland Avenue, Midland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Tuesday, February 11th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Blaise Catholic Church, 772 Ohio Avenue, Midland. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
