Edward Dorin Brutout (June 3, 1926-February 5, 2024)

Edward Dorin Brutout, 97, of Bell Acres, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Concordia of Cranberry. He was born on June 3, 1926 in Beaverdale, (Cambria County) PA to the late Emil and Agnes (Jones) Brutout. He was a retired steelworker in the tin mill department of the former Jones and Laughlin Steel Corporation, Aliquippa Works and LTV Steel Corporation. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing at his mountain camp. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II as part of “America’s Greatest Generation.” Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his wife, Dorothy (Besong) Brutout, two sisters, Betty Korb and Gerry Hall, a brother, Emil Brutout, Jr. and son-in- law, Bob Bellisario. He is survived by two children, Dan (Susan) Brutout of Bell Acres, Linda Bellisario of Bridgeville, grandchildren, Samantha Brutout and husband, Jamie Vollm of Economy, Kathie Bellisario and her companion Tom Wilson of Eighty-Four, PA, Tara Bellisario and her husband Mark Nath of Peter’s Twp., Matthew (Christina) Bellisario of Jackson, MS, great grandchildren, Zoe, Alex, and Bodhi Nath, and Bryce Wilson, siblings, Arthur Brutout, Joan Pander and Dave Brutout, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3-7 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where the family will have a Celebration of Life Service on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Interment with full military honors provided by the Beaver County Special Unit will follow at 11:15 AM at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
