Cody William Hunt (2007-2025)

Cody William Hunt, 17, passed away on January 14th, 2025 in North Sewickley. He was born in Beaver on September 14th, 2007, a son of the late Clifford “Bill” and Michelle (Tomecsko) Hunt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Clifford James Hunt. He is survived by his grandparents, Michael “Iron” and Peggy Tomecsko, many cousins and lastly friends who will all forever cherish his memory.

Cody was a junior at Riverside High School, where he excelled both academically and in extracurricular activities. He was a proud member of the band, choir, and theatre. Cody’s love for music and performance shone brightly. He had the honor of singing the National Anthem, a testament to his talent and patriotism.

He was a young man with many passions including being a skilled pilot and farmer. Cody showed extraordinary focus and commitment in everything he pursued. In addition, he was also a dedicated marksman and hunter where he spent countless hours outdoors, which is where he felt most at peace. Cody loved his horses deeply, forming bonds with them that reflected his gentle and caring nature.

Alongside his love for outdoors and extracurriculars, Cody was an avid fan of MMA where he admired the discipline and strength it required, values he mirrored in his own life. Whether working on the farm, performing on stage, or soaring through the skies, Cody approached life with unmatched dedicated and an adventurous spirit.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 22nd, from 2-8 P.M, in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Avenue, New Brighton.

A funeral service will be private for the family.

Private interment will be held at Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.
