Caren L. Turnbull, 77, of Patterson Heights, passed away unexpectedly on May 17th, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital. She was born in Beaver Falls on January 23rd, 1948, a daughter of the late Herbert S. and Dorothy Miller Lusk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lauren Jolliffe. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 57 years, James T. Turnbull, two daughters, Beth (Chris) Jolliffe and Gretchen (Eric) Brinn, two sisters, Barbara (Fred) Knopp and Linda (Dave) Hurley: four grandchildren, Ethan Jolliffe, Erika Jolliffe, Paige Brinn and Olivia Brinn; along with her nephew, Adam (Jamie Headrick) Hurley.
Caren was a 1967 graduate of Beaver Falls High School and worked as a secretary at the Geneva College Library, McCartney Library. Caren was a remarkable woman who touched countless lives throughout her life. She was an avid baker and canner, and she channeled her love for these activities into a baking and soup ministry. Caren was a pivotal member of the board of directors of Families Matter Food Pantry in Monaca, where she made a significant impact. She also found solace in the beauty of nature, often tending to her garden and planting vibrant flowers. Her love for birds was unparalleled, their melodies serving as music to her ears. However, what mattered most to her was her cherished family. Every moment spent with her beloved husband, their children, and grandchildren was treasured. Friends will be received on Thursday, May 22nd from 2-8 P.M. in the CORLESS-KUNSELMAN FUNERAL SERVICES, LLC, 3801 4th Avenue, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held on Friday, May 23rd at 11 A.M. with Pastor Gary Hilton officiating.
