Warming Centers Available To Residents In Beaver County

Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giordano placed a call to Franklin Center in Aliquippa yesterday  and spoke to Tina Price Genes, one of the center’s directors, who provided information on warming centers in the county. Mrs. Genes said in back of the center the shelter is open from 8:30a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  She provided information  that was helpful in finding other centers by calling 211. The phone number is part of the United Way and provided info on other warming centers in the county .  First Presbyterian Church in Ambridge, 9 a.m.  to  4 p.m. at ladle and Hearth.  new Brighton Municipal Building 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crossroads  409 11th St. Beaver Falls, PA 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Cornerstone, 1217 7th Ave, Beaver Falls, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Several county residents  commented in the last few days that more homeless shelters should be made available here in the county, not just warming centers.
