Two Guns Confiscated at Different Times Wednesday at Pittsburgh International Airport

(Pittsburgh, Pa.) The TSA is reporting that two loaded guns were confiscated after being found at the Pittsburgh International Airport security checkpoint on Wednesday.
A 9 mm handgun in a Westmoreland County man’s carry-on bag was spotted in the checkpoint X-ray machine and later in the day, an antique .22 caliber handgun was found in the pocket of a West Virginia man’s laptop bag, he claimed it was his grandmother’s. officials said.
Allegheny County Police were notified of both incidents and took the guns.
These were the 25th and 26th instances of a gun being seized at the airport this year. Thirty-two were found over the course of 2021.
