Two Blackhawk Township schools were put on lockdown earlier today as police respond to a reported bank robbery in the Chippewa area…but the lockdown has since been lifted. According to officials at the Beaver County 911 Center, police were called this morning to Citizen’s Bank on Constitution Blvd. in Chippewa Township for a robbery shortly after 11:00 this morning. No details of the robbery have been released. Blackhawk Intermediate and Highland Middle schools were placed on an external lockdown for a short time..and according to school officials there was no direct threat to any school, students or staff. The lockdown was lifted at around 12:30.
