WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump has pushed the nation’s top law enforcement officer into a political fray again. The Republican president offered Ukraine’s president the help of Attorney General William Barr in investigating his Democratic political rival Joe Biden, partly the basis for a whistleblower complaint. Barr is one of Trump’s greatest defenders but has sought to distance himself from Trump’s conversations with the Ukrainian president.
