According to a release from Nicole Roschella in Pittsburgh on Monday, the American Red Cross is announcing that during a difficult season which Hurricanes Milton and Helene as well as other disasters passed, Pennsylvanian volunteers from the American Red Cross are working around the clock to provide essential needs to the victims that are still recovering. Roschella notes that this year experienced twenty-four events that dealt with bad weather and climate, with losses of over a billion dollars, while these methods are being achieved from Red Cross volunteers: giving away over seven million meals, providing first aid assistance to seventy-six thousand Pennsylvanians, and letting those in the military have a chance to rekindle that connection with those they love. Roschella is also urging those to give both blood and platelets on Giving Tuesday and throughout the rest of the year at redcross.org.
