(Ambridge, Pa.) Today is the day that the long awaited closure of the Ambridge- Aliquippa Bridge starts. The bridge will be closed for emergency repairs for the next four weeks continuously around the clock.
You should allow extra time as the two main detours will take drivers far out of their way. Those detours are the Sewickley Bridge and the East Rochester- Monaca Bridge that will take drivers far out of their way to reach their destination.

The closure allows workers to do maintenance on the bridge, which is more than 100 years old, as well as surface and joint repairs.
