The Sidewinder Band to appear Live on special edition of Notes on Entertainment Thursday!!!!

The Sidewinder Band will be performing Live on the Notes on Local Entertainment with Scott Tady portion of Teleforum with Frank Sparks this Thursday, August 24, 2017 . The show will get under way at 11:00 a.m. and last until 12 noon. The Live performance of The Sidewinder Band will also be broadcast on Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/beavercountyradio/  

The Sidewinder Band Features  Dena Miller on Vocals, Scotty Wilson on Lead Guitar.Vocals, Ray Fernandez Bass/Vocals and Jimi Miller on Drums.  Tune in and listen to some great classic rock. Street Out Reach for Homeless August 29, 2017 Needs Volunteers

Dina Ciabattoni, Continuum of Care Coordinator of Beaver County, Renee Speaker, Director of the Carl Program, and Beaver Falls Police Chief John DeLuca  were on Teleforum with Frank Spark on Thursday August 17, 2017 discussing a Street Outreach for the Homeless on August 29, 2017. The event is being held with the cooperation of The Cornerstone , Beaver County Continuum of Care, and the Housing Authority of Beaver County. Dina,Renee and Chief DeLuca  discussed the need for volunteers to go out with staff throughout Beaver County for the event. Also needed is donations. Some of the items needed are monetary donations, bottles of water, non-perishable food, sun block, lip balm, rain ponchos, first aid kits, sanitizing hand wipes, tissues, wash clothes/hand towels, and flip flops of all sizes.

The group will be providing food , water, and some other basic necessities to homeless Men, Women, and  Children of Beaver County. They will also be educating the people they  approach on county resources for housing , food, and employment.

Geneva College is the Huntington Business Spotlight for August 2017

Geneva College is being honored as the Huntington Business Spotlight for the month of August 2017. Dr. Calvin Troup, Geneva College President and Dr. Melinda Stephens, Geneva College Dean of Academic Programs were welcomed to Teleforum with Frank Sparks by Frank and Tom Nist, Huntington Bank Senior Vice President.

Dr. Troup and Dr. Stephens spoke to the listeners from 9 to 10 a.m. this morning. They discussed the long storied history of Geneva College, the many academic programs offered, Satellite Campus’ and Geneva College’s commitment to the community. Dr. Troup and Dr. Stephens also answered questions from the listeners. Robert Skerlec on Teleforum to celebrate 30 years of Robert’s Roadside Inn !!

Robert Skerlec owner of Robert’s Roadside Inn was on Teleforum with Frank Sparks today, July 28,2017 to talk about this weeks 30th Anniversary celebration of  Robert’s Roadside Inn. Bob talked about the history of Robert’s and what special events are planned for this weeks celebration that gets under way tomorrow night, Saturday July 29, 2017. Bob took phone calls from the listeners and some famous names in Beaver County congratulating him. Some the dignitaries that called in included Bob Barrickman, WBVP/WMBA  Sports Director, Beaver County Commissioner Tony Amadio, Beaver County Prothonotary, Nancy Cozzucoli Werme,  and former host of Teleforum Mike Romigh who is now the Sponsorship/Events/Social Media Manager at the Beaver County Humane Society. Bob shared many stories and even taught us a lesson or two along the way. Dale Reckless from MRS Physical Therapy joined Frank Sparks on Teleforum this morning, July 26,2017. Dale and Frank talked about the benefits of physical therapy before and after a surgery. They also discussed how physical therapy can some times help an injury heal and prevent surgery.  Dale explained physical therapy is not only for people who have had surgery or have the possibility of needing surgery. Dale also explained that you do not need a doctor’s referral for physical therapy. Dale and Frank discussed some of the minor injuries that you might have that could require physical therapy.
