2019 Beaver County Candidate Spotlight kicks off with Steve Necaster on Beaver County Radio

(Beaver Falls, Pa.) It is voting season and with just a couple weeks left until the November 5th general election Frank Sparks kicked off a series of interviews on Teleforum on Thursday October 24, 2019  highlighting the candidates running for contested offices and seats in Beaver County.

Frank’s first guest was Republican Candidate for the Court of Common Pleas, Steve Necaster. Steve told the listerners about his ealry life growing up in Rochester, New York. Steve then talked about how he decided to attend Geneva College where he met his wife. After graduating from Geneva he went to law school at Regent University and after law school he and his wife settled in Harrisburg. Pa. for a short time before moving back to Beaver County where his wife is originally from. Necaster proceeded to talk about his passion for law and helping people and that is what drives him and why he wants to be a judge for the Beaver County Court of Common Pleas.

Career Day at the Mall Was a Success!

(Monaca, PA): The PA Career Link in the Beaver Valley Mall hosted their annual Job and Career Fair from 10:00AM to 2:00PM, which brought over 90 vendors to the event and a lot of people from the Beaver County area to the Mall. Zach Ulrich was there broadcasting live during “Teleforum” hosted by Frank Sparks. Beaver County Radio also had a table there for people that were interested in a Career in Radio, along with all the other various Career possibilities there as well. Government, Retail and Construction were just some of the many categories of Careers that were at the event today. PA Career Link is located right across from Planet Fitness in the Mall (Next to the Senior Center) for all career help, info or if you need to make a resume.

New Brighton Halloween Parade was a ghostly event

(New Brighton, Pa.) The 2019 New Brighton Halloween was a fun and festive evening on third ave. in the borough. The parade route started at 16th street and worked its way to the New Brighton Borough Building. Frank Sparks and Matt Drzik did a pre-parade broadcst on Beaver County Radio.

New Brighton Halloween Parade tonight on Beaver County Radio

(New Brighton, Pa.) The New Brighton Halloween Parade will be tonight!!! 1230 WBVP, 1460 WMBA, and 99.3 FM will be doing live reports from the New Brighton Halloween Parade starting at 6 pm. The parade gets underway at 6:30 pm on Third Avenue in New Brighton. There’s still time if you want to participate in the parade by e-mailing  nbparade@gmail.com. “Shop” For A New Career Tomorrow At The Beaver valley Mall.

(Center township)  One of the area’s largest job and career fairs will take place tomorrow in the Beaver Valley Mall along the corridor in front of PA Career Link.  The event is organized by PA Career Link and sponsored by CCBC , WQED and Job Training for Beaver County.  Dozens of recruiters in all types of fields will be on site from ten until two with information, applications and immediate employment hiring opportunities.  Visitors to the Beaver Valley Mall on Thursday  will be able to shop for new careers as well as new merchandise.

In addition to doing a live broadcast from the job fair from ten until noon, Beaver County Radio will be participating as one of the recruiters and will be looking for business development and sales candidates, as well as administrative and digital media development specialists.  If you would like to reserve a specific time to meet with Mark Peterson from WBVP, WMBA and 99.3 F.M. about a job opportunity in the radio/electronic media business at the PA Career Link Job fair on October 24, 2019, call 724-846-4100 or e mail peterson@beavercountyradio.com.

Sherriff Tony Guy to Talk guns on Teleforum Tuesda October 22,2019 at 10:10 a.m.

(Beaver Falls, Pa.) Beaver County Sherriff Tony Guy will join Frank Sparks on Teleforum Tuesday October 21, 2019 at 10:10 a.m. to talk about guns.

With a changing society more and more people are thinking about purchasing a gun for personal protection. Sherriff Guy will be discussing the do’s and don’t’s of purchasing and legally possessing a firearm. Sherriff Guy will also take you through the process of applying for a carry permit and what eaxctly that means to have one. A Beautiful Day for the New Brighton Fallfest!!

(New Brighton, Pa.) You couldn’t of asked for a more perfect day for the 2nd Annual New Brighton Fallfest. The festival got under way at 12 noon on Saturday October 19, 2019 . There was something to do for every member of the family. Arts and Crafts, Food, Kids Bouncie house and live entertainment on the main stage that featured the Dawn Savage Band, The Hoot Owls, Jason Pisano and TC Davis.  Frank Sparks and Zach Ulrich did a live broadcast from the festival from 1-3 pm on Beaver County Radio during Solid Gold Saturday Afternoon with JD Merkel.

The “Best of Beaver County” was all about teaching acting and a healthy you!!

(Beaver Falls, Pa.) The ‘Best of Beaver County” with host Jim Roddey was all about teaching and learning on Thursday October 17, 2019. The “Best of Beaver County ” is brought to you by St. Barnabas Helath System. Jim’s guests this week were London Cain,Founder, President of the Iron Horse Theater a Non Profit that offers after school programs for kids  and Chris Coskey, (aka Kate Harris) voice over actress,  Owner-Operator of B-Well Nation Fitness Center. Named 2019 Beaver County Chamber Entrepreneur of the Year.

In the First Segment Mr. Roddey talked to Cain about his early life and what led him to the Pittsburgh area. Cain then went on to talk about his love for teaching and told the listeners that he is currently a Language Arts teacher in the Moon School District during the day and a teacher of the Arts in the evening. Cain discussed the Iron Horse Theater and how it came to be. The hard work that was put into making the theater a reality. The pair also discussed one of the upcoming plays that is about former Pittsburgh Steeler legend the Late Mike Webster. He talked bout how he has studied the great man that Mike was so that he could write t the perfect play. Finally Cain highlighted the free non-profit programs that the theater has for children and the programs they have for adults.

In segment two Mr. Roddey talked with Chris Cosky about her early years growing up in West Moreland County and her early life career of radio working for 100.7 FM and how one day she lost her job and had no clue what she was going to do next they she met up with the founder of B-Well and learned about herself and thus was able to make moves to feel good about herself. As time progressed Chris is now the owner and also an instructor for B-Well, Which is located in Patterson Twp.. Chris said she is honored to be recognized by the Beaver County Chamber as  the Entreprenuer of the year. Chris told the listeners of the good things that B-Well nation can do for anyone no matter what your goal of health is and that their goal is for exactly like their name and that is for their clients to B-Well.

Vanessa Campagna a local artist whose beautiful voice has taken her all over the world will join Frank Sparks and Scott Tady on “Notes on Local Entertainment” at 11:35 a m.  Vanessa will be appearing locally at Christmas in the Woods as she does every year. The guys and Vanessa will be playing some songs from her new Christmas album including Baby Jesus In A Manger Stall which is an original song by Vanessa.
