After about a week off, the Penguins begin the NHL’s Eastern Semi Finals in Washington against the Capitals. Both game one and Saturday’s game two will be played at the Verizon Center. Games three next Monday and game three next Wednesday will be at the Consol Energy Center. Airtime for game one will be 7:30. The faceoff is scheduled for 8:08. Not only can’t he play because of a concussion, Marc-Andre Flurey isn’t even considered one of the league’s best goaltender. Tampa Bay’s Ben Bishop, Washington’s Braden Holtby, and L A Kings Jonathon Quick are finalists for the Vesnia Trophy as the NHL’s top goaltender.

Bond Set For Manzeil
A Dallas judge set a 15-hundred dollar bond for former Heisman trophy winner and Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel in his misdemeanor domestic assualt case. Manziel’s attorney says his client will turn himself in for booking next week . Manziel was indicted by a grand jury this week after his ex-girlfriend alledged he hit her and threaten to kill her during a night out in January.
NFL Draft Starts Tonight
The 81st NFL draft begins this evening in Chicago. The first two slots in the first round belong to the LA Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles. They will take the top two quarterbacks on the board. After Jared Goff and Carson Wentz the show gets interesting. San Diego has the number three choice. The Steelers pick 25th. Some local talent is in the pool. Former Pitt Panther Tyler Boyd could be a second round pick. Former Penn State QB Christian Hackenberg could go in the first round.

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Sharon Speedway Cancels tonights event
Tonight’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned, Steel Valley 50 at Sharon Speedway has been canceled. With the forecast for continued rain on an already saturated track and facility, Speedway and Series officials have been forced to cancel the event.
Anyone who purchased advanced tickets to the Steel Valley 50 will receive a refund. Please mail tickets along with name, address, and phone number to: Sharon Speedway, PO Box 159, Hartford, OH 44424.

Tony Stewart Cleared to race .
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Tony “Smoke” Stewart has been cleared by his doctors and NASCAR to return to the driver’s seat of his number 14 Stewart-Haas racing Chevrolet effective this weekend at Richmond International Raceway. NASCAR has also announced Stewart will be receiving a waiver from NASCAR that will make him eligible for the chase later this year if he can win a race and be in the top 30 in points or somehow race his way in. Stewart was injured in a nonracing accident earlier this year breaking his back and requiring surgery. He has missed the first 8 races of the season.
