(Bridgewater, PA) It was a collegiate football edition of “Coaches Corner” on Wednesday Night as Geneva College head football coach, Geno DeMarco, along with several of his assistant coaches, were the special guests on the weekly live broadcast at Robert’s Roadside Inn on WBVP and WMBA. In addition to being broadcast on 1230 WBVP and 1460 WMBA, the show was streamed live on the WBVP-WMBA Facebook page. Here is an archived video of the broadcast:
The sports patio at Robert’s Roadside Inn continues to be the home for some great sports talk live on 1230 WBVP and 1460 WMBA, along with free pizza from Pizza Joe’s in Beaver and wings from Robert’s Roadside Inn.
Coaches Corner is hosted by Bob Barrickman, Tom Hays and Bruce Frey and airs every Wednesday from 7 to 8 P.M. on WBVP and WMBA.
PIRATES-MARLINS MAKEUP GAME FOR OCTOBER 1 CANCELLED
The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today that its September 9, 2018 game against the Marlins at PNC Park that was postponed due to rain and rescheduled for October 1, 2018 has now been cancelled.
With the Pirates’ elimination from the Wild Card race, the game no longer has Postseason implications. Fans still holding tickets from the September 9 game can exchange them for any April or May home game in 2019, excluding the Home Opener on April 1 vs. St. Louis. Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin held is weekly press conference on Beaver County Radio at 12 noon Tuesday September 25, 2018. Coach Tomlin started out by summarizing the Steelers first victory of the season against Tampa Bay on Monday Night Football. Coach Tomlin then talked injuries, this weeks upcoming game on Sunday night against the Baltimore Ravens, and then answered questions from the media. In a Battle of WPIAL Class 2A Three Rivers Conference teams the Burgettstown Blue Devils traveled to South Side High School to take on the Rams
The first quarter ended with the two teams tied at 7. In the second quarter burgettstown scored another touch down bringing the score to 14 to 7 burgettstown. Burgettstown scored one more touchdown in the third bringing the score to 20 to 7 where shortly after lightning struck and the inclement weather ended the game. the game will resume tomorrow at noon
