TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers say wide receiver Russell Gage had movement in his extremities after suffering a neck injury and concussion in the team’s wild-card playoff game against Dallas. Gage will continue to undergo more tests in the hospital after spending the night there. He was injured Monday night in the fourth quarter when he stumbled on a route, went to the ground, couldn’t make the catch and took a hard shot to the neck from Donovan Wilson. Gage appeared to try to get up but couldn’t and slammed his hand into the ground in frustration. He was taken off the field by stretcher.

That narrow escape came less than 24 hours after the Jacksonville Jaguars overcame a 27-point deficit and pulled off one of the most stunning comeback victories in playoff history on Saturday. No lead is safe and the drama abounds so far in the NFL playoffs. A loaded Sunday schedule saw the Bills hang on for a 34-31 win over the Miami Dolphins, the New York Giants upset the Minnesota Vikings 31-24 and the Cincinnati Bengals hang on to beat the Baltimore Ravens 24-17. One more game in the round remains: Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night.
Beaver Falls Routes Ellwood City 62- 32
Not much went wrong for the Tigers as they played pretty sound basketball over the first quarter to start the game off on the right foot. Ellwood City was playing with out the full line up and one of their best players was watching from the bench. And the Tigers went right to work on the inside were they could use a height advantage to keep the Wolverines on their heels. Final score Beaver Falls 62 Ellwood City 32 Mike Azadian and Bruce Frey had the call on 99.3 95.7 1230 WBVP and 1460 WMBA.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Steelers head into 2023 with plenty of optimism following a strong finish to 2022. Pittsburgh won seven of its final nine games to end up at 9-8. Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett showed flashes of being a star down the stretch, engineering a pair of late touchdown drives in key wins over Las Vegas and Baltimore. The biggest question will be who handles the play-calling. Offensive coordinator Matt Canada came under fire as the unit struggled to score points, though coach Mike Tomlin credited Canada for the offense’s improvement over the second half of the season.
