Beaver Falls 27, Central Valley 21

Another wild Beaver Valley Conference affair took place at Sarge Alberts Stadium, and again it came down to the last seconds.

This time, however, it was the home team who ran out of time.

The Beaver Falls Tigers earn a 27-21 over the Central Valley Warriors on WBVP Friday night. The Warriors’ final drive stalled near the Tigers’ 25 when the offense failed to get a snap off with two seconds to go.

With the loss, Central Valley drops to 5-1 in the BVC (6-2 overall), while Beaver Falls improves to 4-1 in the conference (6-1 overall).

Nico Battisti (CV) and Malik Shepherd (BF) were chosen as the CCBC Players of The Game.

Beaver 55, Hopewell 14

The game was played in a field named after Tony Dorsett, but the game belonged to Darius Wise.

The Beaver Bobcats make it look easy in a 55-14 victory over the Hopewell Vikings. The victory improves Beaver’s record in the Beaver Valley Conference to 4-1 (and 6-1 overall). Hopewell drops to 5-3 overall and 2-3 in the BVC.

Christopher Jones of Hopewell and Tyler Wallace of Beaver were named tonight’s CCBC Players of The Game.

Clairton 52, Aliquppa 16

It was a matchup that everybody anticipated.

It was a result that few expected.

The Clairton Bears run away late with a 52-16 win over the Aliquippa Quips on WMBA. Clairton outscored the Quips 26-0 in the second half. With the win, the Bears stay undefeated at 6-0 atop the 1A Eastern Conference (and overall). Aliquippa’s overall record drops to 4-2; their record in the 3A Beaver Valley Conference remains at 4-1.

The Quips’ Avante McKenzie and the Bears’ Lamont Wade were chosen as the CCBC Players of The Game.
