Hopewell Emerges Victorious over Quaker Valley 40-20

(Hopewell Twp., Beaver County Pa.) The setting was perfect for football on a chilly fall night in Hopewell. The Vikings hosted the Quaker Valley Quakers at Tony Dorsett Stadium in a key WPIAL Class 3A Western Hills Conference matchup.  The first quarter of this game lasted 45 minutes as both teams incurred many penalties and Quaker Valley scored twice to open the game. The lead Quaker Valley held early in the game quickly vanished as Hopewell brought the heat, scoring three times to wrap up the first quarter. The rest of the game would follow this trend with Quaker Valley scoring their last touchdown at the end of the second half, and Hopewell walking away with a 40-20 victory.
