In a Battle of WPIAL Class 2A Three Rivers Conference teams the Burgettstown Blue Devils traveled to South Side High School to take on the Rams

The first quarter ended with the two teams tied at 7. In the second quarter burgettstown scored another touch down bringing the score to 14 to 7 burgettstown. Burgettstown scored one more touchdown in the third bringing the score to 20 to 7 where shortly after lightning struck and the inclement weather ended the game. the game will resume tomorrow at noon

1230 WBVP’s Bob Barrickman and Bill Fontana have the call from Reeves Field at Geneva College of this WPIAL Class 3A Tri-County West Conference high school football game as the Tigers battle the Quips. Austin Bailey will also have the Freedom United Federal Credit Union side line reports during the game in this battle of two undefeated teams. (Bridgewater Pa.) Week 4 got under way with the coaches corner from the Patio at Robert’s Roadside Inn on Wednesday September 20, 2018 at 7 pm with host Bob Barrickman, Tom Hays, and Bruce Frey. Joining the guys on this special evening was guest color commentator Bill Fontana who will be on color commentary for the WBVP game Friday night when the Quips of Aliqiuippa visit Reeves Field on the campus of Geneva College and take on the host Beaver Falls Tigers in a match-up of undefeated conference foes.  The guys invited in Beaver Falls Head Coach Nick Nardone and his players to talk about the huge turn around in the Tigers from last year. Friday’s game will be a battle of two undefeated teams who are perennial WPIAL  Title contenders. The guys were also joined by Blachawk’s  Marques Watson – Trent who was the CCBC Player of the Game for the Cougars against Knoch on August 31, 2018.  Another CCBC Player of the game for the week of September 17, 2018 in Beaver Falls’- Dayln Brickner  was in the house and he talked with the guys about what it’s going to take to beat the Quips on Friday night.  You can check out the Facebook Live Feed below of this weeks Coach Corner Brought to you by Roberts Roadside inn and Skerlec Contracting…….
