Beaver County Radio Sports Director Bob Barrickman announced Monday morning the games WBVP and WMBA will be carrying this Friday November 9, 2018.
On WBVP Bob Barrickman and Jason Colangelo will have the call from Ambridge High School as the Beaver Falls Tigers battle the Aliquippa Quips in the 3A Semi-Final.
On WMBA Tom Hays and Bruce Frey will have the call Cannon-Mac for the Rochester Rams and the Jeanette Jayhawks semi-final battle in class 1A.
Both games start at 7:30 p.m. with a 7 p.m. air-time.

Geneva rushed out a 20-0 lead in the first quarter but, the visiting Grove City Wolverenens out scored the Geneva Golden Tornados 35-7 to win the game 35-27. Grove City was paced by Wesley Schools 142 yds rushing and three touchdowns. Tyler Gufstafson caught 13-passes for 127 yds and two touchdowns. Grove City scored four touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Two of those TD’s came 38-seconds apart. It was a record setting night for Geneva running back senior Trevon Marshall. He scored four touch downs and broke the school’s all time rushing record with 285 yards. The record was held by Gerard Mushitti. Geneva will host rival Westminster next Saturday. Grove City cut Geneva,s lead to 27-20 early in the fourth quarter. Josh Ehst hit hit hit Tyler Gufstafson for 67 yds and a touchdown. After a bad snap on a Geneva field goal. Grove City took over at their own 38 the Wolverens marched to a game tying touchdown. Wesley Schooley went over from the 7. The PAT was good giving Grove City the lead for the first time 28-27. After a Geneva three and out, Grove City took only one play to score again. Wesley Schools went45 yds to give Grove City it’s second touchdown in 36-seconds 35-27.
Trewon Marshall scored his fourth touchdown of the game. Rushing seven yards to cap a 68yd drive. The PAT was good. Late in the quarter Trewon Marshall rushed for 17-yards to become Geneva’s all time rusher.
Grove City scored early in the second quarter. They capped a 75-yd drive with a 12-yd touchdown pass from Josh Ehst to Tyler Gufstafon. The PAT was good. Late in the quarter. Grove City’s Marc Patrick intercepted a pass and 28-yds yards to the Geneva 13. two plays later Wesley Schools went six yds for a touchdown. The PAT was good cutting Genevas lead to 20-14 at the half.
