Geneva snapped a nine game losing streak, defeating Thiel 45-10 at Reeves Field Saturday night. The Golden Tornadoes scored 20 points in the final quarter to decisively pull away from Thiel.

“Thru the Eyes of Sly Washington”, Beaver Falls vs. Aliquippa, Friday September 20, 2019
(Aliquippa,Pa) On a beautiful late summer night the stage was set for the Aliquppa Quips to host the Beaver Falls Tigers in this key WPIAL 3A Tri-County West Conference game. Unfortunately for the Tigers it was a very one sided game tonight on WMBA as Tom Hays and Jason Colangelo called the action for Beaver County Radio. Aliquippa scored touchdowns after in every quarter while the defense pithed a shutout. Aliquippa started out slow in the first half scoring a touchdown in each quarter. The Quips picked up the pace in the third quarter scoring 20 more points leaving Beaver Falls struggling to get control. The Quips built a lead of 34-0 by the end of the the third quarter. In the fourth quarter Aliquippa put ball into the end zone one last time on their way to a 40-0 victory.

Blackhawk Beats Montour 29-21
It was a back and forth affair on the field today. Blackhawk got the scoring started with a 56 yard TD run by Marques Watson-Trent. The Spartans answered quickly with a 2 yard touch down run by QB, Luke Persinger, making it 7-7. The next time the Spartans got the ball, they added to their total with a 51 yard TD catch by Jayden Hill, making it 14-7. The Cougars cut into that lead with a 25 yard FG, and then took the lead back on the next drive, with a 2 yard TD rush by Full back Ben Gratteri. After a missed extra point, the score stood at 16-14 at half time. In the second half, 2 more rushing touchdowns by Watson-Trent sandwiched another rush TD by Persinger, resulting in a 29-21 victory for the Blackhawk Cougars.
