Lincoln Park Wins W.P.I.A.L Title After Defeating North Catholic 66-57!!!

Lincoln Park met with North Catholic for tonight’s WPIAL championship game.  This game was close throughout and a tough competition for both teams.  North Catholic had the lead at the end of the first with a score of 17-14.  In the second, Lincoln Park started gaining momentum and was able to steal the lead going into the half 30-27.  In the second half,  it was still back to back action with North Catholic reclaiming the lead to end the third 48-45. The final quarter of this game came down to the wire but Lincoln Park ultimately came out on top, winning the title with the score Lincoln Park 66 North Catholic 57. Rochester Lady Rams Win W.P.I.A.L. Title Over West Greene 71-41!!!!

Rochester took on West Greene for tonight’s WPIAL championship game.  The teams kept it close early in the game, finishing out the first period with a score of 16-12 Rochester.  The Lady Rams continued to put up the points throughout the rest of the first half and began to grow their lead over West Greene.  The score at halftime was Rochester 31, West Greene 21.  In the second half, Rochester was on fire. They secured a big lead over West Greene in the third and didn’t let up.  Ultimately, the Lady Rams would win the game and take home another championship trophy for Rochester. CCBC Players of the Game 3/13/21

 

The CCBC Players of the Game for OLSH vs Greensburg Boys on Saturday, March 13th, 2021.  From Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School, Dante Spadafora, and from Greensburg Central Catholic High School, Brevan Williams.  The game was heard live on Beaver County Radio 1230 WBVP, 1460 WMBA, 99.3 FM and beavercountyradio.com

OLSH Defeats Greensburg

 

In the first quarter Our Lady of the Sacred Heart was looking strong but Greensburg was battling through it with the score after one Our Lady of the Sacred Heart 16 Greensburg 11. The second quarter was huge back and fouth battle between The Chargers and The Centurions But the score at the half The Chargers 33 The Centurions 26. The third quarter started off With Our Lady of the Sacred Heart on a hot streak over Greensburg scoring mostly three pointers the score after three Our Lady of the Sacred Heart 52 Greensburg 37. In the final quarter of the game Greensburg tried to mount a comeback but it wasn’t enough with Our Lady of the Sacred Heart consistently scoring, The final score of the game Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers 71 Greensburg Centurions 52.

Beaver Girls win first WPIAL Title!

 

 

 

The Beaver Lady Bobcats defeated the Quaker Valley Lady Quakers 45-29, to capture the schools first ever WPIAL basketball championship. The Lady Quakers jumped out to an early lead at the end of the first quarter up 14-9. But, after that the Lady Bobcats defense started playing lock down defense. Holding the Quakers to only 4 points in the second quarter. The Bobcats defense was so tenacious that the Quakers did not score a field goal in the second and third quarters. The Bobcats led 33-18 entering the fourth quarter were it was much of the same. The Beaver Bobcats remain undefeated as they will start PIAA State playoffs next weekend.

Mohawk Defeats Beaver Falls and Moves On 61-31!!!

The Beaver Falls Lady Tigers travelled to Mohawk this evening for a playoff showdown.  The Beaver Falls line struggled from early in the game and Mohawk was able to secure the lead quickly.  By the end of the first half, Mohawk wasn’t making it easy for Beaver Falls with a score of 37-17.  In the second half, the Lady Tigers still weren’t able to cut down their deficit, and the score was 53-25 going into the fourth. Ultimately Mohawk didn’t ease up and will move on with a final score Mohawk 61 Beaver Falls 31.
