The Warriors travelled to Cougar territory for Friday nights high school basketball matchup.  Blackhawk controlled the game from the beginning but Central Valley kept it close.  The halftime score was Blackhawk 19 Central Valley 17.  Central Valley managed to take the lead for a short time but ultimately fell to the cougars during a late run that secured Blackhawk a double digit 3blead.  The game ended with a final score Blackhawk 51 Central Valley 42.

An instant classic took place in Leetsdale and on WBVP-WMBA Wednesday night.  Lincoln Park and Quaker Valley kept it close for an explosive game.  Lincoln Park had the lead at halftime 36-34.  As the close match continued, the game was tied at 56 to end the third.  Both teams fought hard to the end but Quaker Valley ultimately came out on top with a final score Quaker Valley 77 Lincoln Park 74. The  Aliquippa Quips ran a full court press from the start of the game to get control of the game early and did not let up as they stunned the Beaver Falls Tigers in the first quarter with a 16 to 4 lead making it a tuff row to ho for the tigers. Aliquippa started a all under classmen line up with no seniors on the floor in  their starting line up. Listen to the post game show below.

Our basketball coverage kicked off tonight with Beaver taking on Hopewell.  The game remained close through halftime until Beaver took a commanding lead in the third quarter.  The game closed with Beaver taking the win 65-47. You can listen to the postgame below.
