Despite the absence of Nellie Cummings, the Lincoln Park Leopards hold off a stingy Riverside Panther squad by a score of 72-49. The game was tied at 41 after 3 quarters, but the Leopards outscored Riverside 31-9 in the final frame. Lincoln remains undefeated in Section 1-AA at 10-0 (15-2 overall), while Riverside slips to 4-5 in the section (7-11 overall). Beaver 64, Central Valley 61 (Final)
After being down 12 heading into the 4th quarter with their season on the line, the Beaver Bobcats scored 29 points in the final frame, and Darius Wise’s 40-foot shot at the buzzer gave the Bobcat squad a 64-61 comeback win over the Central Valley Warriors.
Wise led all scorers with 35 points, including 19 in the 4th quarter. Josh Carter had 16 for Central Valley; both him and Wise were named tonight’s CCBC Players of The Game.
With the win, Beaver joins Central Valley and Blackhawk in a tie for 4th place in Section 2-AAA; all three schools are 4-6 in section play.
