It was a perfect Friday the 13th for high school football with Hopewell at Beaver. It was a close game until Beaver got a score right before halftime. Hopewell fought and tried to dig deep, but it was Beaver defeating the Vikings 35-14. Click on the play button below for a recap from Tom Hays.

Tonights game between Aliquippa and Quaker Valley was a nail biter in the second half while the first half Aliquippa was the only only ones to score at all taking a 8 to 0 lead to the locker room. The Quips’s started the second half by taking 14 to 0 lead. However in the third quarter Quaker Valley tried to mount a comeback by scoring a touchdown and extra point to trail by only seven after three quarters 14 to 7. There were multiple times in the fourth quarter that Quaker Valley came very close to scoring but the stingy Quip defense stopped their efforts. Aliquippa finally seized control of the game late and put the final nail in the coffin and walking away with the win and possession of first place making the final Aliquippa 22 Quaker Valley 7.

The undefeated Rochester Rams led OLSH in a low scoring contest throughout three quarters. Then with less than five minutes left OLSH scored and completed the two-point conversion to go up 14-13 with less than two minutes left. The rams were on the move in their end until a snap went through the endzone resulting in a safty. The final score was 16-13 OLSH upsetting the undefeated Rams.
