LUCKY

LUCKY

Hello!  My name is Lucky!  Unfortunately I haven’t had it very lucky lately.  My owner passed away and I ended up here at the shelter.  The staff here love me so much, but they want me to have my lucky day and go home finally!  I’m a super friendly girl who absolutely adores people and other cats.  I want to be friends with everyone!  I don’t know how I’d do with dogs as I’ve never lived with them, but I probably would do good with slow introductions!  I have FIV but it’s really not a big deal.  I also sometimes lick my fur when I’m stressed and it causes sores, but it’s because being here is kinda stressful.  I sometimes have to wear a “cone” but the staff says I would help my potential adopter get good reception!  Come and meet me today and see my awesome personality yourself!

The Adoption Fee Includes:

– initial feline distemper combination vaccination

– first deworming or stool check

– rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)

– AVID microchipping

– FeLV/FIV testing

– flea treatment/preventative

– spaying or neutering

Adoption Cost: $37.50

King

**Application/interview only and multiple meets**

Hello!  My name is King. I am a very, very high energy guy. I would be great in a home as active as I am. I love to learn and am very food motivated, so anyone who is interested in furthering my education would be ideal. Breed experience would be preferred! I would do best in an adult only home, I am super happy-go-lucky, but I can be a bit of a bull and I don’t always realize how big I am (this is why adults would be best for me)! Right now I have been working on my manners, but I aim to please and am a very willing student. I’m as physically strong as I am strong willed! I just get so excited when I see something I want/like that I just can’t help but try to get it. I would do best in a home with no cats. I do play with a very select few dogs here at the shelter, so I would need to meet any house/play mates I would have in my new home. I also require a fenced in yard. Please come visit me today! I’m just an awesome young man who wants to find a home of my own!

Leeland

Hello!  My name is Leeland!  I came into the shelter in November as a stray.  The staff at first thought I was a little wild cat.  I didn’t want anything to do with anyone.  But they’re stubborn here.  They worked and worked with me and never gave up!  And guess what?  I’ve learned that people are here to make me happy!  They feed me and pet me when I’m friends with them.  I need a special family that can go really slow with me and teach me to love them!  I’m a lover boy when I love you and want petted and snuggled.  But you have to earn my trust.  I will do best going home and initially being in a smaller space until I get used to my new home.  I need an adults only house.  I seem to like other cats, so I’d probably do well going home with some outgoing friends!  Come visit me today!  I am ready to go home!

– first deworming or stool check

– rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)

Once a month, Dr. Pete Birchler & The Chiropractic Health Center in Chippewa join Beaver County Radio for a segment of “People Purpose Planet”, a show that focuses on the non-profit organizations that provide exemplary service to Beaver County.

For February, Dr. Birchler chose the Beaver County Humane Society, and joining him and Matt Drzik on A.M. Beaver County was their Sponsorship/Social Media Director (and former Teleforum host) Mike Romigh. The conversation centered around the service that the Humane Society has been doing from holding various fundraisers to rescuing abused animals.
