John E. Klipstein Jr. December 27, 1953 ~ January 19, 2024

John E. Klipstein, Jr., age 70, went to his eternal home on Friday, January 19, 2024 surrounded by his loving family in his home after a short battle with cancer. He was born on December 27, 1953 in Frostburg, MD to the late John E. Klipstein, Sr. and Helen L. Wolf. He was a free spirited person who enjoyed sharing the word of God with everyone he met. He was often called ” Preacher” He enjoyed playing his guitar, writing songs, traveling across country and making friends everywhere he went and had a passion for spending time with family and friends. He was a caring person who would give the shirt off his back if needed. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his stepfather, William J. Wolf and brother-in-law, Angelo Venanzio, Jr. Surviving are two sisters, Mary L. Venanzio of Oil City,  Sandra L. Murray  of Baden, nephew, Christopher Klipstein of Baden, nieces, Heather L. Murray of Sewickley, Lisa M. (Rob) Shay of Pittsburgh and a great niece, McKenna. Per John’s request their was no visitation or services.

Glenn A. Zorich July 26, 1946 – January 19, 2024

Glenn A. Zorich, 77, of Industry, formerly of Ohioville, passed away on January 19, 2024 at Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 26, 1946, in Rochester, to the late Mike and Cynthia Zorich, Glenn had worked and retired from Crucible Steel, and in his retirement, he worked and drove for Mansell Trucking. Glenn was an outdoor enthusiast, having enjoyed fishing, camping, and walking in the woods. He also was an avid woodworker, having spent many years carving with his wife, she would paint all the sculptures he made.
Along with his parents, Glenn is preceded in death by his wife, Carole Zorich (2013).
Glenn will be sadly missed by his son, Glenn (Gretchen) Zorich, of Bridgewater; daughters, Brenda (Joe) Leport, of Industry, Mandi (Brian) Olash, of Ohioville, and Teresa (Dave) Scarsella, of East Liverpool, OH; his siblings, Carol, Barb, Mick, Michael, Lorrie, and Hope; grandchildren, Kelli (Jason) Gornak, Paul Palombo, Ben (Kylie) Zorich, Abbey Zorich, Charlie Zorich, Collin Olash, Emily Olash, Brent Olash, Hannah Scarsella, and Becca Scarsella; and four great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Everley, Atleigh, and Abella.
A Family Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date.

Deacon John W. R. Hosey (1934-2024)

John Willie Randolph Hosey, 89, a former resident of Midland, Pennsylvania, and now a resident of Rochester Township, on January 19, 2024, is now resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after a courageous battle with cancer.
John W. Hosey was born to the union of the late Will and Geneva Hosey on September 23, 1934, in Gordo, Pickens County, Alabama. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Westley Hosey in 2006.
John loved the Lord with all his heart and seriously began singing at the age of 16 when he and a few friends from his home church, New Home Baptist Church, Gordo, Alabama, formed a quartet, “The Gospelaires”. Their sound was unique and requested by many neighborhood churches. At the age of 18, he relocated to Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and did not forget his love for the Lord or singing gospel music. John then formed another quartet with five new friends and they called themselves, ” The Soul Searchers”. This group traveled throughout Beaver County singing for approximately 4 years until many of the members entered the Armed Services; John then sang and directed church choirs. Until John’s sickness, he traveled and sang with the “Sons of Thunder” and “Men of Worship”.
John is a former member of First Baptist Church, Midland, Pennsylvania, where he served as Chairman of the trustee Board, Director of the Male Chorus, Sunday School Teacher, Member of the Celestial Choir, the Voices of Praise. John is a current member of the Second Baptist Church, Rochester, Pa., where he served on the Deacon Board, Director of the Male Choir, Sunday school teacher, Mass Choir, Van Driver and audio visual technician, etc., etc.
Being blessed with many talents, after John retired from J&L, he began working at home improvement businesses installing kitchens and bathrooms for Builder’s Surplus and Direct Buy. He later worked for Lowe’s installing windows and doors. Out of the 16,000 employed installers at Lowe’s throughout the United States of America, John W. Hosey won the Bronze Certificate for his excellent craftsmanship 2 years in a row and was placed on Angie’s List by his customers.
John leaves to cherish his memory, the Love of His Life, wife of 19 years, Runnette Hosey, his four children from a previous marriage, Denyse (Barry) McCombs, Mattawan, NJ, Dennis(Marquetta) Hosey, Industry, Pa, John Delbert Hosey, St. Petersburg, Florida, Danielle (Kai) Weng, Tampa, Fl, one step daughter, Tyleeta McPherson, Crafton, Pa, two sisters, Suletha Hosey, Wesley Chapel, Fl, Barbara Pointer, Gordo, Al, 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, his Second Baptist Church Family, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives and friends!
Friends will be received Thursday from 3-7 in the Second Baptist Church, Rochester. A service will be held Friday at 11am in the church with the Reverend Bryan Crawl officiating. Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
Arrangements are being handled by the William Murphy Funeral Home, Inc., Rochester, Pa.

Fay Lynelle Crout-Moreno (1939-2024)

Fay Lynelle Crout-Moreno, 84, of Chippewa Twp., formerly of Orlando, FL, died Monday, January 22, 2024, in Lakeview Personal Care Community.

She was born April 12, 1939, in Atlanta, GA the daughter of the late Herman H. and Mary (Davis) Crout. Fay was a veteran of the United States Marines and a member of the VFW.

She is survived by a son, Herman (Katie) Moreno; three grandchildren, Sophia Moreno, Ariel Jankowski, & Daniel Moreno.

In addition to her parents, Fay was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Allen David Moreno.

As per Fay’s wishes there will be no viewing.

A private inurnment will take place in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.

Thomas Richard “Dick” Seery (1931-2024)

Thomas Richard “Dick” Seery, 92 of Aliquippa passed away peacefully January 17, 2024.
He was born July 26, 1931, in Sewickley Hospital and is the son of the late Edna Holsinger Seery and Thomas Seery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy “Dot” Seery, a cherished granddaughter, Nicole Graef, and brother Michael Jack Seery.
He was a retired employee of J&L Steel where he worked as a supervisor in the scale department for over 40 years.
The Reformed Presbyterian Church of Eastvale was one of his favorite places. As a long time
member, he cherished his friends from the congregation.
Dick honorably served our country during the Korean Conflict in the US Army where he received the National Defense Service Medal.
As a proud lifelong resident of Aliquippa, Dicks friends called him the unofficial mayor of Hollywood Aliquippa. He had a vibrant personality that was loved by all who knew him.
Dick had great devotion and loyalty to friends and family, and enjoyed frequenting local stores and restaurants, and visiting with people, especially at Yanni’s Restaurant.
Reading and crossword puzzles were his favorite pastimes. He was a firm believer in exercising the mind, as it always reflected in his quick wit and sharp memory.
He was an avid sports fan. The Steelers and Pirates were his favorite teams, and he never missed a game. Dick had another passion which was spending time at the Mountaineer Horse Race Track. He was a regular attendee for over 60 years. In younger years everyone there knew him as “Lucky”. This was an activity he loved to share with his daughter.
Dick is survived by his devoted daughter: Michelle (Patrick) Graef, grandchildren: Giselle (Eric) Riemenschneider and Joshua Graef. He is also survived by great grandson Theodore and great granddaughter Sage.
Dick will be dearly missed by anyone who knew him.

Kathleen J. Hansen (1951-2024)

Kathleen J. Hansen, 72, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on January 20, 2024.
Born on March 23, 1951, in Beaver Falls, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gerald A. and MaryJane Pasqua Hansen. Kathy was an accomplished pianist, having studied piano, and earning B.S. in Music Education from Duquesne University. She then continued on to earn her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from University of Pittsburgh, and after taught for 28 years in Pittsburgh Public Schools. She also was an avid gardener at her church and at home, and an active member of the Pittsburgh Iris and Daylily Society. Kathy was a passionate researcher and collector of Phoenix and Consolidated Glass and a founding member of the Phoenix and Consolidated Glass Collector’s Club.
Kathy will be sadly missed by her siblings, Harry “Jake” Hansen, and Theresa “Terry” Palmieri.
As per Kathy’s wishes, all services were private.
Burial took place at Beaver Cemetery.

Alva C. “Buddy” Kuhn Jr. (1950-2024)

Alva C. “Buddy” Kuhn, Jr. 73 of Monaca passed away January 18, 2024, after a brief illness.

He was born June 9, 1950, in Waynesburg, PA and is the son of the late Elizabeth (Burgess) Currie and the late Alva C. Kuhn, Sr. Buddy was also the stepson of Samuel P. Kelly and John Currie who also preceded him in death, a brother, Samuel “Porky” Kelly, and his former wife, Patricia (Kuhn) George.

Buddy attended Faith Lutheran Church in Aliquippa.

He was a fan of Elvis Presly and enjoyed watching old movies that Elvis was in. Buddy’s favorite pastime was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his children: Kelly and Paul Doychak, Justin Kuhn, Branden Kuhn, Tina McHenry, Cory and Leah Saxon and Michael Saxon. Cherished grandchildren: Nathan, Nicholas, Brittany, Austin, Adilynn, Mila, Julia, Austin, Breanna, Spencer and a great granddaughter, Emily. He is also survived by two brothers: David “Bug” and Mary Kelly, Bill Kuhn and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday from 3-until time of service at 6:30 pm in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa, PA 15001 724-375-0496. Pastor Mike Sourwine will officiate the service.

Donald A. Shuler (1937-2024)

Donald A. Shuler, 86, of College Hill passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024.

Don was born in Beaver Falls on June 15, 1937 to the late John Domico and Violet Shuler Domico. He was a veteran of the United States Army (82nd Airborne). Don retired from Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products and Pittsburgh Tube. Don was always up for a good argument or a wise crack.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Ann (Hutchinson) Shuler, College Hill, together they had four children, Mark Shuler, Wampum, the late Shawn Shuler (2018), Scott (Yvonne) Shuler, Beaver Falls and Michelle “Miki”  (Gregg) DeVitto, Tecumseh, MI; eight grandchildren, including a very special granddaughter Sarah Ann Shuler; six great-grandchild; a brother, John Domico, College Hill and two sisters, JoAnn (Calvin) Chambers, Rochester and Karen (Gary) Mineard, Beaver Falls.

Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com , 3801 Fourth Avenue, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dale Russo officiating.

Iver John Stenberg (1939-2024)

Iver John Stenberg, 84, of Beaver, died on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Celebration Villa of Chippewa.

Born on May 2, 1939, in Warren, PA, he was the son of the late Harold and Mamie (Olson) Stenberg.

Iver was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, where he secured a profound passion for the aviation industry.  He was an Aircraft Mechanic for many years for the former US Air and had served as President of Stensin Aviation, a flight training school partnered with Community College of Beaver County.  Iver was also a supporter of the Air Heritage Museum at Beaver County Regional Airport.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Janice (Baldwin) Stenberg; his daughter, Brenda (John) Lucko; son, Eric Stenberg; grandchildren, Elizabeth, John, and Faith; great grandchildren, Elijah, Hunter, and Owen; a sister, Ruth Hartzell; nieces, nephews, and friends.

In accordance with Iver’s wishes, he will be cremated and a Celebration of Life is being planned for the future.
