Mark A. Jezowicz (1967-2025)

Mark A. Jezowicz, 58, of Moon Township, passed away on October 19th, 2025 in Heritage Valley Sewickley. He was born in Pittsburgh on February 14th, 1967, the son of the late Paul A. & Theresa R. “Therese” (Maser) Jezowicz. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Beth (Sorba) Jezowicz, two daughters, Hannah Jezowicz (Fiancé Noah Grice) of Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania and Emily Jezowicz (Fiancé Brandon Tretinik) of Oakdale, Pennsylvania and his beloved cocker spaniel, Lily.

Mark grew up in Crafton and graduated from Carlynton High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army Reserves and retired after 20 years of honorable service. he was employed as a hydraulics mechanic for Universal Stainless and Alloy Products in Bridgeville for over 30 years. Family was everything to Mark. His pride and joy were his two daughters. He loved spending time with them whether going on family vacations, camping, fishing, bike riding or just hanging out together. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and devotion to his family.

Friends will be received on Friday, October 24th from 5 P.M. until the time of a Memorial Service at 7 P.M. in The Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Township, 1522 Coraopolis Heights Road, Moon Township, who was in charge of his arrangements. Private interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, will take place at a later date.

Edward J. “Rags” Ragula, Sr. (1935-2025)

Edward J. “Rags” Ragula, Sr., 90, of Baden, passed away peacefully on the evening of October 19th 2025, at home with his family by his side. He was born in New Brighton on February 28th, 1935, a son of the late Stephen and Julia Olash Ragula. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen and his brother Stephen Ragula II. He is survived by his sister, Peggy Madish, a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Randall Aiken of Katy, Texas, a son and daughter-in-law, Edward Jr. and Rachel Ragula of Economy Borough and several grandchildren: Julia Aiken, Robert Aiken, Nicholas Ragula and Ciera Ragula.

Edward was a U.S. Army Veteran who was employed by J&L Steel for over thirty years.

Family and Friends will be received on Friday, October 24th from 3 to 7 p.m. in the John Syka Funeral Home Inc., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, who was in charge of his arrangements and where a blessing service will take place on Saturday, October 25th at 10 A.M. Entombment will follow in the Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum.

Dennis Michael O’Shea (1953-2025)

Dennis Michael O’Shea, 72, of New Brighton, passed away on September 24th, 2025, surrounded by love in the comfort of his home.

He was born in New Brighton on April 27th, 1953, a son of Esther (Rae) O’Shea and Patrick O’Shea. He is survived by his partner, Laraine McGown, his mother, Esther O’Shea, and her partner, Zenas Thomas, his brother, Kevin O’Shea and his partner, Kathi and his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick O’Shea Jr. in 1976. He was the proud father of Jacquelyn Matotek, Laura Haddox and Ryan O’Shea and he was the grandfather of Cierra and Dawson Rauch, Shaiane Matotek, and Lana and Mina Haddox, who lovingly knew him as Pap-Pap O’Shea.

Dennis graduated from New Brighton High School and worked as a steelworker and machinist before his retirement. Those who knew him will remember his big heart and his creativity. He had a gift for choosing the most beautiful, heartfelt cards that brought tears to your eyes and reminded others how much they mattered. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and spending time outdoors. He had a deep love for the animals that shared his life. He was an artist at heart that was endlessly creative, a dreamer and a tinkerer who was happiest when his hands were busy bringing an idea to life. He loved to grill and found joy in the simple moments spent with family.

Paul A. Tharp (1967-2025)

Paul Anthony Tharp, 57, of Industry, formerly of Center Township, passed away at Providence Health and Rehabilitation Center in Beaver Falls on October 12th 2025.

He was born in Aliquippa on December 12th, 1967, a son of the late John F. and Nellie W. Tharp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Tharp, John Tharp and Terry Tharp and his sister, Julie Swan. He will be cherished and missed by all he loved dearly especially those who survive him like his daughter, Paula Tharp, brother, Timothy and his sister, Sheila (Dean) Garcia.

Paul liked to shoot pool, go to car shows, build models of cars. He also enjoyed listening to his old C.D.’s and records and watching deer and wildlife.

Paul was a kind man and was willing to help people if he could.

In accordance with Paul’s wishes, no services will be held.

David “Dan” Kennedy (1929-2025)

David “Dan” Kennedy, 95, of Moon Township, passed away on October 16th, 2025 in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on December 9th, 1929, the son of the late John Joseph Leo & Aletha Edna (Coffman) Kennedy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Bock Kennedy and a sister, Mary Ann (Kennedy) Hall. He is survived by his two daughters, Deborah K. Kennedy of Moon Township and Susan D. Kennedy of Moon Township and a granddaughter, Jennifer N. Lesaigle (Laurent), six nieces & nephews: Marilyn K. Minor (James), Thomas B. Canoles (Dianne), Mary A. Strassner (Joseph), Robert A. Canoles (Mary Ellen), Daniel B. Canoles (Susan) and Brian J. Canoles (Kathleen); as well as many great nieces and nephews and many great-great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his puppy dog, Buttercup.

David graduated with a BS degree in Zoology from Fairmont State College (now Fairmont State University) in Fairmont, West Virginia. He served stateside in the US Air Force during the Korean War. After graduating from Officer Candidate School, he earned the rank of Second Lieutenant. “Dan” (as he was known) was a sales representative for GLAXO Smith Kline Pharmaceutical company for over 30 years. His hobbies and interests were playing the piano, growing roses, watching birds at the feeder in his backyard and completing both crossword and jigsaw puzzles. He also loved animals and was a fan of both the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was also a member of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Coraopolis, the Knights of Columbus and the Elks. In his younger days, he volunteered with the Jaycees (Junior Chamber of Commerce).

Friends will be received on Wednesday October 22nd from 4-8 P.M. and on Thursday October 23rd from 2-4 P.M. & 6-8 P.M. in The Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Township, 1522 Coraopolis Heights Road, Moon Township, who was in charge of his arrangements. A Mass of Christian Burial will also be held on Friday, October 24th at 10 A.M. in St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1 Parish Place, Coraopolis. Lynnette “Lynn” Brown (1941-2025)

Lynnette “Lynn” Brown, 84, formerly of Zelienople, passed away on October 20th, 2025. She was born on August 29th, 1941, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Adams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Lisa, her brothers, Tom, Norman, James and Vaughn Adams; as well as her former husband, Barry Brown. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Terri (Jerry) Testa of Moon and two grandchildren: Jennifer (Matthew) Testa Lehane and Anthony Testa as well as her sister-in-law, Darlene Adams and several nieces and nephews.

Lynn found joy in playing the slots at The Meadows Casino in Washington, Pennsylvania, finding secret deals at Dollar Tree, thrifting and spending time with her family. She worked for 35 years serving as a Medical Technician at Sherwood Oaks in Cranberry Township. She will be fondly remembered for taking her “ciggie” breaks, playing cards and slots and feisty spirit. She was well-known at the Zelienople convenience stores for her coffee and cigarette fix. She will be greatly missed by her daughter and her family and friends.

Arlo D. Bricker (October 15th, 2025-October 15th, 2025)

Arlo D. Bricker was born on October 15th, 2025, which was also the day that he passed away. This newborn boy was the son of Thomas and Brianna Bricker. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Ron Bricker and Jessica Kimla, his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Kravocheck and his aunts: Holly Bricker, Jaden Warner, Aaron Warner, Sara (J.P.) Pepple, Maggie Kravocheck, and Lexie Bricker.

Though Arlo’s time with was short, his memory will live eternally in the hearts of his family.

Margaret R. Miller (Passed on October 15th, 2025)

Margaret R. Miller, 92, formerly of Rochester Township, passed away peacefully on October 15th, 2025 at Cambridge Village in Beaver Falls.

She was born in Monaca, a daughter of the late Nathan and Margaret Chleba Paliotte, as the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings, including her twin sister, Sister Mary Margaret Paliotte and her brothers Bill, Robert, August “Gus” and Paul Paliotte as well as her sister, Catherine Haney, her beloved husband, Howard E. “Bud” Miller, with whom she shared a blessed union starting in April 11th, 1953, at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monaca, her infant daughter, Barbara Ann Miller and her daughter, Janet M Miller.

She is survived through her three sons, Thomas E (Cindy) Miller, Howard E. III (Carrie) Miller and David (Gaylen) Miller. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren and a doting great grandmother to six great -grandchildren. She was raised in Monaca and was a graduate of Mt. Gallitzin Academy in Baden. She was a dedicated employee of Rosalind Candy Castle in New Brighton where she was employed as a clerk and packer.

She was a devout member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and St Cecilia Catholic Church in Rochester. She was also an active participant in the Christian Mothers of the  church. Her faith was evident in her kindness and the way she lived her life. She was an avid lover of the outdoors who had a “green thumb,” which was evident in her beautifully kept flower garden and well cared for lawn.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, Oct 22nd from 9 a.m. until the time of a mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.at St Cecilia Catholic Church, 632 Virginia Avenue, Rochester. Interment will take place at St John the Baptist Cemetery, 1270 Chapel Road, Monaca at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpson Funeral and Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.

Allie D. Kennedy (1955-2025)

Allie D. Kennedy, 70, of Koppel, was reunited with the love of her life, on October 18th, 2025 at her daughter’s residence in Brighton Township.

She was born on July 30th, 1955, a daughter of the late Ernest Sr. and Virginia (Mahana) Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Allen “Rock” Kennedy, her brother, Ernest “Bub” Price, Jr., a sister, Elma Gillingham, a brother-in-law, Sonny Lambert and her in-laws, Garnet and Gaston Kennedy. She is survived by her daughters, Crystal (Jason) Stoyanoff and Kimberly (John) Stahl; her grandchildren, Alexis Stahl and Jake Stoyanoff, her sisters, Regina Lavalle and Stella Lambert, her best friend and sister, Florence “Flo” Fleeson, her half-brother, Shawn Price and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Allie had worked as a housekeeper at Heritage Valley Beaver for many years. She was devoted to her family, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. In her free time, she enjoyed watching holiday baking shows.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 22nd from 2-4 P.M. & 6-8 P.M. in the GABAUER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1133 Penn Avenue, New Brighton, who was in charge of her arrangements, and where a brief celebrant service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd at 11 A.M.

Interment will be private in Grandview Cemetery, 139 Norwood Drive, Beaver Falls.

Gelindo “Lindy” Malignani (1928-2025)

Gelindo “Lindy” Malignani, 97, of Ohioville, passed away peacefully at home on October 16th, 2025. He was born in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania on August 8th, 1928, a son of the late Pietro and Gisella Malignani. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, his brother, Anthony and his great-grandson, Donovan Hoegle. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Katie Malignani of Ohioville, his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jack Packard of Pittsburgh, three grandchildren, Aaron (Melissa) Malignani, Christina (Logan Mobley) Malignani, and Dana Moran, nine great-grandchildren, Julian and Dorian Hoegle, Presley, Phoenyx, and Cypress Mobley, and Landon, Lila, Laiken, and Alexis Moran; special friend, Toni Vassallo; as well as numerous cousins.

Gelindo had been a resident of Ohioville for nearly 80 years. He was a proud United States Army Veteran, having served during the Korean War, and was awarded a Purple Heart. Lindy was a volunteer fireman for Ohioville Boro, a part-time Ohioville police officer, as well as a Beaver County Sheriff Deputy. He enjoyed making homemade wine, stained glass, an excellent vegetable gardener, and a master of fixing everything, having built all three family homes. Lindy will be remembered for his generosity and his never-ending love for his family.
