Kenneth R. Winters, Jr. (1946-2025)

Kenneth R. Winters, Jr., 79, of New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly on July 5th, 2025 at Heritage Valley Beaver.

He was born in Beaver Falls on February 2nd, 1946, a son of the late Kenneth and Eleanor (Yanoski) Winters, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth, his brothers, Joseph and Fred and his sister, Cathy Huddleson. He is survived by his wife, Charlene “Lizzy” (Johnston) Winters, his daughters, Lisa Johnson, Pam Duncan and Shannon Winters, his sons, Bob Winters, Shawn Johnston, and Todd Johnston, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sister, Marlene DiStefano and his brothers, David Winters, Johnny Winters, and Lenny Winters.

Kenneth served in the United States National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cutting grass, gambling, working on cars and driving people around.

His family will announce a Memorial Service to be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton. Russell “Dale” Foster (1934-2025)

Russell “Dale” Foster, 91, passed away on July 1st, 2025, at his home in White Township.

He was born in Bunker Hill, West Virginia on March 28th, 1934, a son of the late Robert and Virginia (Beatty) Foster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Beverly J. “Sis” (Robison) Foster, two brothers, Ronald and Robert and two sisters, Violet and Carol. He is survived by his four children and their spouses, John and Tina Foster, Debbie and Bill Rizzo, Kathy and Rick Rihely, and Becky and Mike Engel; as well as his eight grandchildren, Gregg, Stefanie, Melissa, Billie Jo, Justin, Shawna, Shawn Mark and David; along with his seventeen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Russell was a skilled craftsman who owned Foster Construction for many years. He was known for his expertise, integrity, and tireless work ethic. Later in life, he became the owner of Foster’s Self-Storage Company, which he operated with the same determination and care that defined every aspect of his life. He was a devoted family man. He cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by those he loved most. He was a member of the Patterson Township Zoning Board for many years. He was also an honorary member of the Patterson Township Fire Department, a recognition he held with great pride. He was always quick to lend a hand and support his community however he could. He was also a beloved fixture at the Corner Tavern who was known for his good humor and loyal friendships. His stool at the bar might now sit empty, but the stories he told and the memories he made there will live on.

Friends will be received on Monday, July 7th from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 6 p.m. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls.

Entombment will take place in Beaver Falls Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Dale’s name to the Beaver County Humane Society- 3394 Brodhead Rd, Aliquippa, PA 15001 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital- 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Barbara Monac (1943-2025)

Barbara Monac, 81, of New Brighton, formerly of Midland, passed away on May 30th, 2025.

She was born in Pittsburgh on June 30th, 1943, a daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret Ahrens. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Monac, two brothers, Bobby and Larry Ahrens and her sister, Debbie Ahrens. She is survived by her sons, David and Greg Jergons, her daughter, Lora Billiot and numerous grandchildren. Barbara had many jobs during her life, including working at Phoenix Glass, driving bus for Rhodes Bus Line and retiring as a CNA at Villa St. Joseph of Baden. She was Christian by faith.

Junior B. Riteenberry (1928-2025)

Junior B. Rittenberry, 96, of Fair Oaks, passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2025. He was born on October 16th, 1928. He was preceded in death by his parents, B. Harrison and Mary Rittenberry, his beloved wife, Nancy Rittenberry, his daughter, Nancy Seevers and several siblings. He is survived by his loving children, Kim (Jay) Close and Brenda (Mark Chaney) Rittenberry, his grandchildren: Amanda (Jason Thorn) Close, Stacy (Sean) Kelly , Bryan Rittenberg, Andy Bonager and Brittany Blinn; as well as his great-grandchildren, Bryson Downey, Connor and Kaleb Kelly, Layton Blinn, and Angelo Bonager. He is also survived by his dear friend, Lenny Bobincheck and many nieces and nephews, especially his niece, Mary Litherland.

Junior was a proud U.S. Army veteran who later worked for and retired from American Bridge Company. He was a dedicated member of the Doric Lodge #630 in Sewickley. In his spare time, Junior enjoyed collecting and working on Lionel trains, a passion he cherished throughout his life.

Private interment will take place at Economy Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC, 547 8th Street, Ambridge.

Mary Ann Costanza (1934-2025)

Mary Ann Costanza, 90, Harmony Township, passed away peacefully at her home on July 2nd, 2025.

She was born on October 31st, 1934, a daughter of the late Felici and Ann Bufalini. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony J. “Tete” Costanza, her sister, Margaret DeLizio and her brothers, Kelly and Richard Bufalini.

She is survived by her loving children, Ken (Stephanie) Costanza, Pam “Tammy” (David) Harsch, and Ron (Lisa) Costanza, her brother-in-law, Willie Costanza, her sister-in-law, Sherry Costanza, her grandchildren: Erica (Katie) Harsch-Colpitts, Nathan (Valeriya) Harsch, Aaron Harsch, Marcus (Julia) Costanza, Ryan (Amanda) Costanza, Kimberly (Evan) Bowles, Jesse (Sophath) Hinh, and Lauren Metcalfe; as well as her great-grandchildren: Vienna, Mia, Briella, Maria, Marco, Elio, Charlotte, and Emmy along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, a special niece, Sandy Bufalini, a cherished friend, Linda Garbini, and her caregiver and friend, Desi.

Mary Ann was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith. She was a proud member of the Christian Mothers who taught C.C.D. at St. Veronica Church. She was active in the Eagles Nest 1365 Ladies Auxiliary. Known for her vibrant personality, she spoke her mind. She loved dressing up and decorating for every holiday and was especially talented in the kitchen. She was a masterful baker and gifted cook who found joy in preparing meals and gathering her family around the table. Even on her final day, she had a meal ready for her loved ones: one last expression of the love she so freely gave.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 6th, from 2–4 P.M. and 5–7 P.M. at Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC, 547 8th Street, Ambridge. Departing prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Monday, July 7th at 10:00 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at Good Samaritan Church, 725 Glenwood Avenue, Ambridge. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hopewell.

Anne (Medianowsky) Walko (1924-2025)

Anne Medianowsky Walko, 100, passed away on July 2nd, 2025, at Masonic Village in Sewickley. She was born in Ambridge on August 28th, 1924, a daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Karpenic) Medianowsky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Walko, her son, Joey Walko, four brothers: Michael (Tillie), John (Stella), Paul (Anne), and Frank (Helen); as well as three sisters, Helen Hlista (Pete), Mary Viti (Donald) and Tillie Hunter (John). She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Anne’s passion in life was spending time with her family and her devotion to God.  She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ambridge.

Family and friends are welcome to gather for a visitation on Sunday, July 6th, from 1-5 P.M., in the John Syka Funeral Home Inc., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where prayers will be offered on Monday, July 7th at 9:30 A.M., followed by a funeral service at 10 A.M., in Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 404 Sixth Street, Ambridge. Interment will follow in Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery of Ambridge.

Ivy Mae Welsh (1947-2025)

Ivy Mae Welsh, 77, of Daugherty Township, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on June 30th, 2025, at Heritage Valley Sewickley after an extended illness.
She was born in Rochester on July 18th, 1947, a daughter of the late Gene and Elizabeth Smiley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Troy Welsh, her brothers, Bruce Smiley and Seth Smiley and her in-laws, Charles Sr. and Antonette Welsh. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of 59 years, Charles Welsh Jr., her son, Jeffrey (Kirah) Welsh, her daughter, Lisa (James) Mooney, her sisters, Vicky (George) Gaskins and Dana (Tony) Ross, her grandchildren: Kylie (David) Wagner, Zachary (Hope Berneburg) Mooney, Shae (Edward) Stang, Aria (David) Medved; as well as her great-grandchildren: August, Aurora, Juniper, and Aiden. Ivy had worked for Anchor Hocking Glass. In accordance with Ivy’s wishes, all services were private. Christine M. (Deltinto) Grey (1963-2025)

Christine M. (Deltinto) Grey, 62, of New Brighton, passed away on July 1st, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born in New Brighton on April 21st, 1963, a daughter of the late Francesco Deltinto and Carol (Blake) Dye. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Richard Carlton Grey, Sr. She is survived by her three children, Richard (Stephanie) Grey Jr., Micheal (Stacie) Grey and Sharie (Kurtis Sniezek) Grey, nine grandchildren: Skylar Grey, Jordyn Grey, Michael Grey, Madison Grey, Mackenzie Grey, Austin Sniezek, Savannah Sniezek, Brooke Sniezek and Scarlett Sniezek; as well as a brother, Bruce (April) Dye, a sister, Susan (Rob Dietz) Deltinto, her special friends, Dorothy, Lisa and Janice, along with several nieces and nephews.

Christine found enjoyment in her life cooking and baking for her entire family. She loved going on adventures with her grandchildren and adored visiting Erie and Ocean City, where she found a love for their steak sandwiches.

Debra Lynn (Householder) Brown (1971-2025)

Debra Lynn (Householder) Brown, 54, passed away on June 23rd, 2025. She was born in Beaver Falls on January 13th, 1971, a daughter of Linda (Bork) Shultz (Daniel) and the late Dale Householder (Martha). In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal Grandparents, Robert and Lillian Bork, her paternal grandparents, Lawrance and Hazel Householder and her in-laws, Carl Sr. and Karen Brown. She is survived by her husband Carl Brown Jr., five children: Aryana Harris (Cary), Craig Harris (Jasmine), Carly Weckerly (Michael), Abigail Brown (Aaron) and Carl Brown lll (Brooke); as well as her sister, Danielle Matta, her Godchild, Joey Matta, her ten loving grandchildren: Jasir, Vondre, Jamari, Raelynn, Ava, Jasson, Kaiden, Karson, Avery and Alina. Debbie will be always remembered for her Big Heart. She was such a joy to be around and she loved playing Bingo. It always put a smile on her face gathering all of her family in one place. She was the glue that brought her children and grandchildren together and words can’t express how much she will be missed. The Family respects Debra’s wishes that no service will take place. However, a celebration of her life with the cherished moments with a Memorial Service for Debra to be held at a later date. Janet Louise Krawchyk (1935-2025)

Janet Louise Krawchyk, 90, of Columbiana, Ohio, passed away on June 30th, 2025 at Masternick Memorial in New Middletown, Ohio.

She was born in Beaver Falls on April 3rd, 1935, the daughter of the late Hiram Donald and Agnes Jane (Douglas) Weaver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Frank Krawchyk and her brother, Clifford Weaver. She is survived by her children, Frank (Patricia Jones) Krawchyk Jr., Julie Ann (Leonard Rohde) McClain and Linda (Robert) Dewell, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, her brother, Richard (Leona) Weaver and several nieces and nephews.

Janet was a homemaker who enjoyed family gatherings, camping, traveling. She also never skipped eating ice cream.

All services for Janet were private. Janet will be greatly missed and her family would like to thank the staff at both Masternick Memorial and Akeso Hospice.
