Agnes F. Frank (1926-2025)

Agnes F. (Olshesky) Frank, 99, formerly of Rochester Township, passed away on April 1st, 2025, in the Rochester Villa Manor. She was born in Rochester on January 21, 1926, a daughter of the late Julius and Mary Rudnicki Olshesky. She was a retired beautician and owner of Agnes’ Beauty Salon of Rochester, as well as a former licensed realtor with Zarnich’s Realty Company of Rochester. Agnes was a member of St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church of Rochester. In her later years at her beloved home, she enjoyed feeding the deer, squirrels, raccoons, and birds in her backyard, planting tulip bulbs and dividing hostas, waiting for Judge Judy’s verdict and giving her opinion to the manager at Shop and Save about his signage. Agnes is preceded in death by her husband Andrew J. Frank, four brothers: John, Henry, Peter and Joseph Olshesky; as well as one sister, Helen Radatovich. Agnes is survived by one daughter, Joyce Anne Frank of Alexandria, Virginia, a brother-in-law, E. John “Willie” Frank, two sisters-in-law, Rose C. Frank and Janice Frank McConaughy and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, April 14th, at 11 A.M., in St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church, 628 Virginia Avenue, Rochester. Interment will follow in St. Cecilia’s cemetery. All arrangements are entrusted to William Murphy Funeral Home Inc 349 Adams Street, Rochester. The family wishes memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to Our Lady of the Valley Parish, 200 3rd Street Beaver, PA 15009. The family wishes to give special thanks to Agnes’s niece Judy Miller Harrington for her visits and comfort provided to Agnes over the years, and the ladies at the Rochester Villa, and Gallagher Hospice care givers for their comfort as well.

Patricia Besong (1953-2025)

Patricia Besong, 72, of Hopewell Township, passed away on February 26th, 2025, in her sleep after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 3rd, 1953, a daughter of the late James Moore and Evelyn Moore. She is survived by her sister, Deborah (Richard) Anderson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Sandra McKenzie and James Miller.
Patricia was a friend to many. She was kind and generous to her friends and family. She started her career in the healthcare field at Aliquippa Hospital and retired from UPMC in Pittsburgh. Even before her retirement from UPMC, she joined the catering crew at Center Stage in Monaca, then the Bingo Instant Selling Team, and finally the Bowsers Restaurant Team. In her free time, she loved to play bingo, go dancing, take casino trips with friends, crocheting with her mom and sisters. She also cheered on her beloved Steelers. She showed her love for line dancing, especially the Electric Slide, while working in the kitchen or out on Center Stage’s dance floor with the wedding guests. She loved all of her jobs and the friends and customers she met over the years. She will be missed by all who worked with her and knew her.
Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life and Luncheon on Sunday, April 6th from 1-4 p.m. at Center Stage, 1495 Old Broadhead Road, Monaca.

Kerri A. Artim (1958-2025)

Kerri A. Artim, 66, a kind-hearted soul who touched the lives of strangers, friends, and family alike, passed away on March 29th, 2025.

She was born in Pittsburgh on April 25th, 1958, a daughter of the late Clyde “Larry” and
Carla Sample. She was a patriotic and charitable woman, especially an avid supporter of veterans, their communities, and their foundations. She was a lifelong Steelers fan, never missing a game, and always proudly proclaiming, “Those are my boys.” However, one of her most remarkable qualities was her unwavering love for cats. She had cared for and loved many kitties throughout her life, and her home was filled with a lifetime’s worth of kitty memorabilia. She was truly a cat whisperer and took immense pride in her feline family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Artim and her son, Adam Galletta.

She is survived by her son, Aaron Galletta, her brothers: Greg, Richard, Ronnie Lee,
and Kirby; her sisters: Sheri, Marcy, Krissy and Laurie “Libby,”, a special niece, Tara, a special nephew, Max, and her beloved “kitty cats:” Livvy, Lovey, Sammi, Thomas, Billie Jean, Nikki and one extra special kitty, Danny.

In accordance with Kerri’s wishes, no public services were held.

Sandra Lee “Sandy” Fabyanic (1945-2025)

Sandra Lee “Sandy” Fabyanic (née Pellis), 79, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, at AGH in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born in Swissvale, Pennsylvania on June 19, 1945. Sandra lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others. Family was the heart of her world. She shared a loving marriage with her late husband, Robert “Bob” Fabyanic. They built a legacy that continues through their children, Bryan (Julie) Fabyanic, Laura (Jim) Schooley, and Bradley (Renee) Fabyanic. She was a proud grandmother to Chelsea Fabyanic, Brianna (Adam) Rombold, Ivan (Jaelee) Fabyanic, Zachary (Erin) Gould, Lucas (Jada) Gould, Mackenzie (Mahleek McElvy), Nicholas (Brittany) Fabyanic and Kyle (Kristin) Fabyanic. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her great-grandchildren: Lorenzo Gould, Grant McElvy, Ravenna Fabyanic, Theodore Fabyanic, Jordan Gould, Aiden Gould, Cameron Gould, Logan Kernich, Olivia Kernich and Luka Kernich; along with three more blessings expected soon. She cherished every moment spent with them and was devoted to creating lasting memories across generations. She is also remembered by her sister, LaVerne Greer, sisters-in-law, Patty (Joe) Woroszylo, Donna Fabyanic and brothers-in-law Richard (Toni) Fabyanic and Ivan Fabyanic, Sr.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert, her parents, Mary Lou and Pete Grillo, her in-laws, Ivan and Elizabeth Fabyanic and her sister, Angeline Woods.

Sandra dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a medical assistant.  She was always willing to help her patients at any time.  Her compassion and commitment to helping those in need extended far beyond her career. She was a devout Catholic and a former CCD teacher at St. Joseph’s Church and an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She also founded Lifeline of Western PA, reflecting her deep desire to support and uplift her community.

Sandy found delight in simple pleasures, especially browsing church rummage sales for Christmas dishes. These small traditions reflected her warmth and love for celebration and family gatherings.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4th, from 3-7 P.M. at GABAUER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, Inc.- 1133 Penn Avenue, New Brighton. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 5th, at 10 A.M. at the former St. Joseph’s RC Church (now Our Lady of the Valley – Holy Family Parish), located at 521 Seventh Avenue, New Brighton, Pennsylvania. Private interment will take place at Saint Joseph Cemetery, New Brighton.

Sandy’s legacy lives on through the lives she touched, with kindness in her heart and faith as her guide. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.

Roberta Jean Zadrowski (Passed on March 26th, 2025)

Roberta Jean Zadrowski of Hopewell Township passed away on March 26th, 2025, surrounded by love and warmth at her residence. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Robert Sr. and Beatrice (Wilson) Young and her cherished daughter, Chrissie Angela Pieper. Her legacy lives on through her beloved husband, Edward J Zadrowski, with whom she shared nearly 48 years of marriage. Together, they raised their devoted son, David Michael (Connie) Catron. Roberta’s joy was multiplied by the blessings of her grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Finney, Megan (the late Charlie) Schergaroth, and Jeffrey Pieper, and she was overjoyed to be a great-grandmother to Silas.

Roberta’s journey began in Aliquippa, where she was raised. She later graduated from Aliquippa High School. She exemplified lifelong learning by returning to school in her late 40s. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to earn a degree in Phlebotomy, after which she completed her internship at the Oakland VA Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Roberta traveled to various clinics within Beaver and Allegheny Counties, touching the lives of countless individuals with her skill and compassion. Upon retiring, she continued to contribute to the community through her work at the Airport Office Park for Building Service Cleaning Co.

She was an avid crocheter, who crafted countless baby blankets, prayer shawls, and bookmarks, each a symbol of her care. Her creations were not just items of warmth and beauty, but tangible expressions of her love and thoughtfulness.

She was also a devout member of the Wildwood Chapel Church in Aliquippa. Roberta’s faith was a beacon that guided her through life. She lived her beliefs through acts of kindness and her presence in the congregation was a source of comfort and inspiration to many.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12th at 11 a.m. at Wildwood Chapel, 2850 Jack Street, Aliquippa with Pastor Rick Liptak, officiating.

Charlotte Alsko (Passed on March 28th, 2025)

Charlotte Alsko, 90, a lifelong resident of Harmony Township, passed away peacefully on March 28th, 2025.

She was born in Sewickley, the daughter of the late Anthony J. Sr. and Clara (Sochacka) Alsko, Charlotte was a cherished sister, aunt, and friend. She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by her brothers, Anthony Alsko Jr., Daniel Alsko, and Raymond Alsko Sr.

She retired from Hussey Copper in Leetsdale, where she was known for her strong work ethic. This was a trait she endeavored to instill in her family members. Charlotte’s commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to her faith as a long-standing member of the Good Samaritan Catholic Church in Ambridge, formerly known as St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

Though she was the last of her siblings, Charlotte’s legacy continues through her sister in law, Judith Alsko, her beloved nieces and nephews: Raymond B. Alsko Jr. (Amy), Carrie Alsko Hartman (Wayne), Robert Alsko and Barbara Alsko. She took immense joy in spending time with her great-nieces and great-nephew, Lauren, Leah, Ashley, and Adam.

Charlotte was often found enjoying the simple pleasure of sitting on her porch.

In honoring Charlotte’s life, those reflect on the joy she brought to their lives and the example she set for everyone.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 12th at 10 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1409 Pennsylvania Avenue, Monaca, with Rev. Father Canice McMullen as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery in Ambridge. Recitation of the rosary will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the church.

The family would like to give special thanks for the friendship and services of Tiffany York, Esq. for all her guidance she provided our family at our time of need. The family also thanks the staff of Providence Health and Rehab Center as well as Good Samaritan Hospice who provided Charlotte with loving care.

Bonnie L. Drummond (Passed on March 31st, 2025)

Bonnie L. Drummond, 80, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025 at Heritage Valley Beaver after undergoing a recent surgery.

She was born in Beaver Falls. Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Beaver County and a graduate of Rochester High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Melvina (Musgrave) Hoover, and her beloved granddaughter, Jacqueline Rock.

Bonnie is survived by three children, Jessica and Kim Drummond and a son, Robert Climo. Her life was further enriched by her twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Linda Gross and Diane (Joseph) Fash, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bonnie dedicated her life to the role of homemaker. She was an avid reader who found great pleasure in the pages of a good book. Her creative spirit shone brightly through her hobbies, which included crafting silk floral arrangements and holiday wreaths. Bonnie’s attention to detail were also evident in the mini dollhouses she built.

Friends will be received on Thursday, April 3rd from 10 A.M. until the time of services at 12:30 P.M. at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, 1101 9th Street Extension, Freedom.

Darlene H. Dunbar (1939-2025)

Darlene H. Dunbar, 85, of New Sewickley Township, passed away on April 1st, 2025 at her home. She was born in Rochester on June 17th, 1939, a daughter of the late Earl R. and Ernestine Owen Holzworth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Holzworth and one sister, Margaret “Peggy” Scarsella. She is survived by her husband, John W. “Jack” Dunbar, two daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie D. and Brian Frank and Deborah L. and David Hogue, all of Rochester Township, one son, John E. Dunbar of New Sewickley Township, seven grandchildren: Tiffany Wise and her husband Donald, Brian Frank and his wife Charissa, John Dunbar and his wife Jory, Kelly Frank, Sundae Reid and Kendall, Destiny Dunbar and Autumn Hunter; as well as nine great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law, Chuck Scarsella and numerous nieces and nephews.

Darlene was formerly working with JC Penney Department Store in sales and was a former secretary with Murray Realtor Company and Troia Optometry in Monaca. She was also a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rochester. Friends will be received on Thursday, April 3rd from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the William Murphy Funeral Home, Inc., 349 Adams Street, Rochester, where a service will be held Friday, April 4th at 11 A.M. Her pastor, Rev. Gregory S. Clagg, will officate. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, 1101 9th Street Extension, Freedom. Deborah L. Lipnicky (Passed on March 12th, 2025)

Deborah L. Lipnicky, 61, of Aliquippa, passed away unexpectedly on March 12th, 2025 in her home. She was born in Benson, Arizona, the daughter of the late Frank and Kathy Czulewicz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lipnicky. She is survived by her son, Michael Baggus, two grandchildren, Gage and Alexis Baggus, two brothers, Brian & Carmela Czulewicz and Michael & Deb Czulewicz, her beloved friends, Danny and Rita Siget, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles. She will also be missed by her coworkers at Cast and Baker as well as all of her friends at Kendrew’s Lounge.

Deborah worked as a laborer for more than 30 years with Cast and Baker Corporation, and was part of the Local 1058. She loved the beach. She and her husband traveled numerous times to Key West. She also enjoyed all her time at Sarah’s Campground in Erie.

Chester Delon (1943-2025)

Chester Delon 81, of Hopewell Township, passed away on March 31st, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Apple Blossom Memory Care.
He was born on July 24, 1943, a son of the late Chester and Genevieve Dobiczyski. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Delon. For 57 years, Chester was the beloved husband of Paula Delon, who he leaves to celebrate his life with their sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. He was a devoted father to his sons, Gerry (April) Delon and Michael (Lisa) Delon. He was also a loving “Pappy” to Jake, Hannah and Jordyn. He is also survived by a brother, Gerald (Barb) Delon and a special nephew, Mark Delon.
Chester proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964. He was a graduate of Robert Morris University. He gained employment with Michael Baker Corporation as an accountant and worked there for numerous years.
Chester was a devoted husband and father, always ready to support his children. His grandchildren brought him great joy, and he loved attending their activities.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Lauren and the staff at Apple Blossom Memory Care and to Suncrest Hospice, especially R.J., who is a wonderful nurse. They are most grateful for your kind and compassionate care.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9th, at St. Margaret and Mary Church, 1 Parish Place, Coraopolis, PA 15018.
