Ronald L. Hummel Jr (May 13, 1966 ~ June 8, 2024)

Ronald L. Hummel, Jr., 58, of New Brighton, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

Born May 13, 1966, in Beaver Falls, he is the son of the late Ronald Sr. and Phyllis (Lowe) Hummel, Sr.  He worked for A.R. Oliastro, Inc. as a truck driver.  Ronald loved hunting and riding motorcycles.  There was nothing that brought more joy toRonald than his family, grandchildren, and his dog, Bo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald L. Hummel III.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Kimberly S. (Klingensmith) Hummel; a daughter, Jessica Hummel (Ed Steiner), Beaver Falls; two grandchildren, Sophia and Micah; brother, Charles (Kathy) Hummel, Chippewa; sisters, Vicky Holland (Barry Wright), Beaver Falls; Lisa Miller (Sam Rossi), New Brighton; Amy (James) Nicgorski, New Brighton, Lori Kindleberger, Butler; several nieces, nephews and their families.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 2 pm until time of service at 4 pm.

Randy L. Stiffler (September 20, 1949 – June 8, 2024)

Randy L. Stiffler, 74, of New Brighton, passed away at home, Saturday, June 8, 2024.

Born September 20, 1949, in Spangler, Pa., he is the son of the late Sim and Lois (George) Stiffler.  Randy was a proud graduate of Beaver High School, class of 1969. A beacon of strength and athleticism, he showcased his prowess on the gridiron, representing his alma mater with distinction in the esteemed Big 33 football game.  He was member of the West Mayfield Vets and the United Croatian Club in New Brighton. Randy loved the great outdoors, gardening, and growing garlic. He retired from Westinghouse/Eaton Corporation, where he worked in maintenance.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Craig Allen Stiffler.

Randy is survived by his wife, Nancy (Nicholson) Stiffler; four siblings, Donald “Jim” (Josie) Stiffler, San Antonio, TX; June Ann Stiffler Gilchrist, Industry; Lois (Ed) Marzek, Pittsburgh, Pa., Sim Myers (Liz) Stiffler, Jr., Milford, DE; nephew, Ben Brubaker, niece, Norri Stiffler; special niece, Brenda Bell and her husband, Brad.

Per his wishes, there will be no visitation or service.

The family would like to than AHN Hospice and his two nurses, Rhonda and Joyce for the loving care give to Randy.

Kevin B. Herron (January 9, 1956 – June 2, 2024)

Kevin B. Herron, 68, of New Brighton, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born January 9, 1956, in Beaver Falls, he is the son of the late Clarence and Mary E. (Rhodes) Herron.  Kevin served in the U.S. Army as an SP4 and was a member of the New Brighton United Croatian Club.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Catherine (Barry) Herron; daughter, Melissa Herron and Rob Duncan, Oxford, Pa.; two sons, Shawn Herron and Misty Johnson, Beaver Falls, Troy Herron, New Brighton; three grandchildren, Trent Frederick, Savana and Mia Herron, several nieces, nephews, and their families.

Per his wishes, no services to be held.

Ashley Ann Irwin (October 29, 1982 – June 6, 2024)

Ashley Ann Irwin, 41, of New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, June 6, 2024.

Born October 29, 1982, in Brighton Twp., Pa., she is the daughter of Jeff Irwin and the late Patricia (Gaff) Irwin.  Ashley worked for Passavant Homes in Rochester as a Medical Assistant, and UPMC Cranberry.  She was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins.  She loved spending time with her nieces, Skylar and Sierra.  She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

In addition to her father, Jeff Irwin, she is survived by her sister, Stacy Irwin Westerman and her husband, Jim; two beloved nieces, Skylar and Sierra Westerman, who were the light of her life, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

Friends will be received Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave, New Brighton.  Prayers will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Holy Family Church, New Brighton.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.

Vivian Marie (Laneve) Gishbaugher (May 30, 1934 – June 3, 2024)

Vivian Marie (Laneve) Gishbaugher, 90, of Beaver went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 3, 2024 in the comfort of home, surrounded by her loving children and family.
Born on May 30, 1934 in Aliquippa, to the late Peter and Philomena “Fanny” (Vigilotti) Laneve. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Donald C. Gishbaugher. Vivian was a devout Catholic and a woman who believed in the power of prayer. A true woman of faith whose loving guidance influenced and touched her families’ lives.
She was a loving wife, mother and G-ma who dedicated her life to her family. Vivian attended Comptometer school and worked for B&W as a payroll associate. Leaving that career to pursue her life time goal of caring for her children and home.  In her later years, she returned to the workforce as a Supervisor for Act Media in which she retired.
Surviving are her three children, Geri Reichenbach (fiancé Rick Annarumo) of Beaver, Don (Toni Ann) Gishbaugher of Koppel, Leann (Scott) Bednar of Beaver; three cherished grandchildren, Tyler Reichenbach of Sarasota, FL, Andrew Reichenbach of Beaver, Kendra Bednar of Beaver; two sisters, Ann (Walt) Suhy of East Liverpool, OH, Dolores (Keith) McKim of Rochester, IN; a sister-in-law, Rhetta Barkey of Wampum and several nieces and nephews, that were like children to her and her best buddy “Rockie”, a Toy Yorkie, who was at her side for 15 years till the end.
Thanks to her team from Amedisys Hospice for all their compassionate care. All her dear and loving caregivers who cared for her as though she was their own mother.
Heartfelt gratitude to our friend, Pastor Jeff Arnold, all our close friends, neighbors and family who have supported us during this time.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, June 7th at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Parish, 116 Thorndale Road, Beaver Falls with Father Kim Schreck as celebrant.

Richard E. Cairns Sr. (February 13, 1935 – June 6, 2024)

Richard E. “Dick” Cairns Sr., age 89, of Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, formerly of Rochester, passed away June 6th, 2024, at his daughters home. Richard was born February 13th, 1935 in Koppel, PA. He is the son of the late Richard A. and Mary Ann Hobilia Cairns. Richard was a retired employee with the Valspar Company of Rochester Township and a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church- Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Rochester. Dick was a retired firefighter with the Rochester Township Volunteer Fire department and previously a little league and pony league baseball coach for Rochester. He was a prior PIAA/WPIAL basketball referee and umpire with the ASA Sanctioned Softball Fast and Slow pitch. Dick was also a member of the former Rochester Township Fireman’s Club.
Richard is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joann P. Pratte Cairns, one son and daughter-in-law, Richard E. Jr. and Melissa Cairns, of Brevard, NC, one daughter and son-in-law Patti J. and Robert Maciejewski, of Eighty Four, PA, and one brother and sister-in-law David M. Cairns of Beaver Falls, and Marilyn Cairns, of Myrtle Beach, SC,. Surviving him are also three grandsons, Nicholas, Conor, and Maxon Maciejewski, a granddaughter, Taylor Nicole Stiles and her husband Billy, two great-grandsons Parker and Hudson Stiles, and three great-granddaughters, Abby and Vivi Stiles, and Ryleigh Jeanfreau. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dick is preceded in death by a brother William J. Cairns.
Friends will be received Monday June 10th, from 3-7 at William Murphy Funeral Home Inc. 349 Adams Street Rochester, PA. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 11 AM in St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, Rochester. Interment will follow at St. Cecilia cemetery. The family wishes for any donations to be made to the Beaver County Special Olympics at 128 Friendship Cir, Beaver, PA 15009.

 

Thomas Coachman (December 30,1958 – June 4, 2024)

Thomas Coachman, 65, of Chippewa passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
Tom was born to the late Walter and Iris (Barefoot) Coachman on December 30, 1958 in the Springdale, PA area where he grew up. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a former Vibration Analyst for Ginna Nuclear Power Plant in Ontario, NY. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Steelers, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Debbie (Ferguson) Coachman of Chippewa Twp and their three children, Jason (Elizabeth) Hirst of Daugherty Twp, Scott (Brooke) Coachman of Center Twp and Lori Coachman of College Hill Beaver Falls and eight grandchildren, Alexandra, Alivia, Andrew, Parker, Scotlynn, Brooklynn, Jayla and Braeden.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, June10th from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA.

Florence K. Robinson (August 20, 1935 – June 4, 2024)

Florence Robinson, 88 of Baden, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024, in her residence surrounded by her loving children.
She was born August 20, 1935, in Ambridge, a daughter of the late Harry John and Viola Winters Smith.
She graduated from Ambridge High School in 1953, was a member of the Ambridge Christian and Missionary Alliance Church since 1954, where she served in many offices of the Sunday School, the church, and offices in the Alliance Women.
She married Dorman Eugene Robinson on October 9, 1954, who predeceased her September 12, 2020.  In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a daughter Lorinda Mae Robinson who served the Lord in the Cote d Ivore and Burkina Faso in Africa for 25 years under the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, a brother Donald Smith, half-brother Tom Jackson, 4 nieces and 4 nephews, Sally, Carol, Rachel, Kathie, Marc, Tommy, Robbie, & Sammy.
She is survived by her children Paul Eugene Robinson and Charlotte Robinson of Baden, sister-in-law Charel Smith of East Palestine, OH, Terrie Robinson of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Sue (David) New of FL, 5 nephews, David Lee, Charles Roland, Raymond Roland, Kevin Roland, 6 nieces, Tammy Lee, Terry Dkoich, Tracy Robinson, Debbie Dawson, Suzi, & Kelly, and a bonus daughter Michelle Bowers, and a cousin who was like a sister Gail Smith.
There will be no public visitation and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Ann “Annie” Caratelli (July 13, 1939 – June 5, 2024)

Ann “Annie” Caratelli, 84, of Industry, formerly of Surprise, Arizona, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on June 5, 2024.
Born on July 13, 1939, in Freedom, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Ricci Caratelli, and a faithful member of St Augustine Parish, St Blaise Church. Ann worked and thoroughly enjoyed her employment for Heart 2 Heart as a caregiver, where she made many longtime friendships with her clients. She will be remembered for her bubbly and social personality, her love for shopping, and thoughtfulness in gift giving. But most importantly, Ann loved her grandchildren, whom she was affectionately known as “Bubbles”.
Along with her parents, Ann in preceded in death by her loving companion, Ronald Dieringer; sisters, Antonette Caratelli Sabino, and Vera Caratelli Biros; and her brothers, Herman, Frank, Louis, Paul, and Arthur Caratelli.
Ann will be sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, whom she considered her own son, Joya and Greg DeDominicis; grandsons, Nickolas, Vincent, and Ryan DeDominicis; special nephew and his wife, Ronnie and Peggy Caratelli; as well as additional numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends will be received in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 629 MIDLAND AVENUE, MIDLAND PA 15059, on Monday June 10, 2024 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Tuesday June 11, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Augustine Parish, St. Blaise Church, 772 Ohio Avenue, Midland, PA 15059. Stephen Collins (March 16, 1946 – June 3, 2024)

Stephen “Smokey” James Collins, 78, of Aliquippa, is now at peace. He passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024. He was born on March 16, 1946, in Sewickley, to the late Jack and Leona Collins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Georgianne Collins, two brothers: Tim and Rege Collins and two nieces: Debbie and Leslie Leonard.
He honorably served our country in the US Army during Vietnam.
Stephen was a member of Mary Queen of Saints Parish, St. Titus Church. He was an avid golfer who loved to spend time outdoors, especially with his dogs Misty and Maximus. After many years of service he retired from O’Neal Steel in Harmony Township.
He is survived by two children, Roxanne Collins and her fiancé, Mark Kirkland, Robert Turney, Jr. and a granddaughter, Ellie Turney. A sister and brother-in-law: Kathy and Rich Spanik and a special niece, Kristen Spanik. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
